I was wheelin' Tuesday but I didn't take any pics. Also missed some good pics wheelin' about two weeks ago.

I am going to a project site next week. I was told "don't think you can drive in her unless you have a Toyota." I said "yes sir, I do."

Just remembered about a place I went end of last year. Didn't get any pics again but I slid my way down a slick, long hill (ala Durhamtown) and was told there was a way out at the bottom of the road but there wasn't... I then tried to back up and when I was bouncing off my red line and not moving anywhere but sideways I knew I either 1) had to go forward or 2) get a track hoe about 1/2 mile back to come get me. I was able to do about a 12 point 90 degree turn and skirt the side of a building and get out. The best part is my two passengers/clients made me let them out after I tried to back up...:grinpimp:

I got a couple of decent pics yesterday. I'll post them up when I get them all downloaded from my wife's pink camera!

Things didn't go exactly as planned yesterday. I spent a few hours getting a guy out of the woods who fell and injured himself. He is OK but it puts emphasis on being prepared. Having basic medical supplies (being trained in how to use them) and plenty of water are key.

I tried to buy a SpotGPS unit today but Sunrift was fresh out. This is a small GPS unit that you can hit one button on and emergency services will be sent to come get you. This would have worked great at OTMT 08 when we came across the injured four wheeler. If I had injured myself and been alone, it would have taken me probably 4 plus hours in VERY hot weather to crawl out the woods to a point where I 'might' have been able to get cell coverage. Yikes!

ncsudrewh and I got a chance to do a little wheeling at work today...

We had a car show at work today. It's nice to have to LC's at the same place.:D

Couple of pics.

Started in 2wd, then went to 4lo, then ATRAC, then to the rear locker when I could smell my brakes with the ATRAC kicking so much. Tore a chunk out of the middle of the tread on a rear tire and now the KM2s are going to come much sooner. Had two clients get out of the car and walk for a spell - after they saw a truck in front of me slide off the trail. It was a good day.

Oh, and hopefully have video to come of me negotiating the slick spot where the lead truck slid off the trail. I'll post it if I can get the video.
