Wont shift into OD

Need advice anyone seen this problem?

My ABS and Traction lights came on yesterday. Thought it felt like the granny was shifting different, faster and firmer, but different.

Today on the interstate the transmission did not go into OD. Pushed the OD button in and out a few times. Eventually it did go into OD but went in and out, like it could not find it. Not slipping though.

What could it be, a sensor? Read a few threads about a crank position sensor?

How do you troubleshoot the ABS can you pull codes from that system?

Please help. I dont think its a hardware problem, IDK, though. shift normal to 3rd although a little firmer and faster. Most failures i have had, Ford AOD and AODE's the OD goes out and all gears are out.

Could be a wheel speed sensor, transmission sensor or anything really. Any active trouble codes or recent non-active trouble codes will be stored on the vehicle's on board diagnostic system. You'll need to check the codes, or the stored codes if the lights are off now, to see what the failure is.
