Hood is completely cleaned and waxed and time to install the rubber trim.

Hood looks great! I just painted mine and have been looking into the best material for replacing the heat shield. OEM pad seems pricey. What did you use there? I'll be ordering your rubber seal kit next to clean it all up!

Kept the original pad but painted it.

Truck still had the original plug wires so full tuneup.

I run 50/50 (by volume) methanol and distilled water. Methanol can be found in 5 gallon cans but you have to look for it. I bought this can a month ago for less than 30 bucks. It lasts me quite a while. View attachment 2020887

Got to love it. Big 3" lettering....(you could read from across a parking lot).

Just had another batch of bolts and brackets yellow zinc plated. Trying to stay consistent with the coloring. Everything came out looking great!

Had my first piece of stainless steel gone thru the passivation process. Basically it’s takes a non-corrosive material and makes it non-corrosive-Er

This is the water pipe that runs along the front of the head.

It’s all slowly been going back together. I’m leaving tomorrow for CMCC in NY and won’t be back til Sunday so not much will get done. My brothers and son aren’t going to be doing much on the truck without me there. They know better

Nothing crazy exciting here. Wanted to get the valve cover cleaned. Sand blasting is the absolute worst thing you could do. I was going to have it hot tanked but I talked to my plater and he said he would take care of it. He put in in the acid tank which striped away all hydrocarbons and make it look much better. He also ran it in chem film to protect/primer it before final paint. The chem film process looks very cool on machined parts. Not so much on cast aluminum

But paint will be better.

- Throttle cable standoff and bolt
- Air cleaner and tuna can clips

Totally! There is an options tab when ordering the turbo. Careful though, the options quickly exceed the price of the turbo
