After reading this thread I think I’m just going to burn my 80 and never own a car older than 3 years again.....make that 12 month.
What’s next? Replace all bolts with titanium bolts and all panels with custom carbon fiber panels that’s custom painted? Carbon valve cover and air can surely are on your list of to do. Full grain Napa Italian leather interior with custom engraved cabinets, brandy tumblers and shotguns?

Finished up the hoses for the power steering circuit. After anodizing the Derale dual pass cooler, I converted the 1/4”NPT to 6AN then added some 90° to 3/8” nipples. One side goes directly to the reservoir so just clamp needed. The other side goes to another 90° then special adapter to go to the low pressure side of the gearbox. The high pressure side gets an all new hose (I’m not bothering with making one), and the large 5/8” reservoir hose going to the pump is just clamped at both ends.
I’ll be putting together a complete kit once I verify that the hose lengths work with the radiator in place. That and verifying new clamps.

This is such a great idea. Is that a an OEM high pressure hose or is that an aftermarket unit? Are you talking weeks or months on this kit's availability?
Make sure to include an Ingersoll Rand impact and 15/16 open wrench or a Saws All to deal with the high pressure banjo fitting and high pressure hose challenge. Maybe throw in a calming tea (chamomile maybe) and a soothing audio tape to reduce stress during the swap.I’m just going to use the Gates. No one has ever complained about it so at only 10% the cost of OEM, I’m going to rock it.
As to the kit...days maybe. I’ve already started ordering the mounting hardware and drill and taps

Yeah, yeah, yeah. This is a Joey Bolt-on Turbo Kit, & related ancillary turbo goodies, build thread.
Don’t want to take this too far off topic, but can we get a brief “what is so awesome about meth injection with turbos”, does it help N/A cruisers, what it does?
I’m sure to been discussed already, but just to keep everything consolidated.
Not that I’m not already sold, just helpful info.
(Joey, send me an invoice, put me on the list, I want to be at the front of the line).![]()
Snows makes a great kit - I ran them on both of my built RS6's....... they really help in warmer climates - love that you've pioneered this for the 80..... who'd of thunk !
are you planning to have the fully built truck dyno'ed again ?
Ryan, any benefit for meth injection for the N/A crowd?
