hi guys im looking at fitting set of light force spotlights and there is old wiring which is hooked to headlight relay and a switch on dash when i tried it didnt work is there a more reliable way to wire up

Wire the lights with their own dedicated relay powered directly from the battery and trigger the relay with a switch installed in the cab. Make sure you fuse the battery + lead.
