Hi all.
I'm in the middle of wiring the fj40 for my trailer, Here is my issue...

I have a flat 4 wiring harness for the trailer, I try to hook up the wires as the installation instructions say, But I don't have brake lights, I have upgraded to the newer style fj40 tail lights, I used the 3rd brake light wire from my EZ wiring harness for the brake lights(why, I don't remember now) but it works, However, Now I cant seem to figure out the trailer wiring.

Wiring is my bane...
If any of this makes sense try and help me out, If not, Ask me some questions I should be able to answer them.

Sorry for the blathering...
When I had the wires hooked up the way they suggested, I had turn signals and running lights, But no brake lights.
I posted this up on a local site as well and someone suggested I needed something like this converter I will be stopping by a local trailer supply to see what they suggest.
I have an EZ wiring kit in my fj40, But I appreciate the link for the stock wiring.

yes thats what you need if you were still running the older round red lights the way you did it would have worked
