Anyone know their way around wiring. I think my starting issue is due to a short somewhere. It's been very frustrating lately.

Anyone know a tow truck driver? I left work yesterday and headed to my buddies house for dinner. Got in and wouldn't start. I tried my usual tricks, nothing. Got out the jumper cables, hooked it up, nothing. Then I got a loud whining noise coming from under the dash- fuse box and glow plug button area. When I turned on the lights or hit the glow plugs it would stop en start back again. I had this noise once before after a long trip, that day I let it sit for a few hours and started up. I went back after work again today and same thing. Tonight I noticed that when I tried to crank the voltage did not drop. I'm thinking there is an issue between the ignition and starter. Very frustrated at this point. Have to borrow a car to go to work tomorrow, wife is out of town while her dad is in the hospital, and I can't even get the rusty hunk of crap home.
I have used Turkey's Towing in the past. Since you are probably going to have it towed to LexTec, I'd cal him and see who he likes.
