Wiper linkage lubrication on 100 series

I'm replacing the linkages under the wipers on my land cruiser 100 series with a good used linkage kit ex japan. Has anyone tried to lubricate the bushes and the shafts that swing the wipers bock and forth as they seem to be impossible to get apart and although WD 40 may seep in there I wanted to use silicone grease but right in there from the top to bottome of the shafts?
