Hello !

I'm searching for info about winter tires - especially about the sizing.
The car is a 90 series, 3.4 one from '99.
265 / 70 R16 is a suggested tire but wouldn't a "thinner" tire, like 235 / 70 be more suitable for winter conditions ?

What size of winter tires are you using for mainly non off - road use ?

Thank you in advance and let me know if more information is needed (or if I posted in the wrong forum :)) !

ice doesnt care how tall or wide your tire is.
its all about traction.

snow, its more persuadeable.
skinny tires work better. wider tires plow snow,
you wanna skim across the top.

never go smaller hight. no excuse to sacrifice ground clearance.
