I know there have been several threads on this in the past, but mine has pics!
Anyway, my nozzles were barely working, and after trying to clean with a needle didn't help, I thought I'd just pull them out of the hood to clean em up good.
If you are very careful you can slide your hand behind the insulation and push them through the hood. They have two small tabs that must be pushed in (see pics) but if you push one side in then slide it backwards or forwards you can tilt one side up and slide the whole thing out. It must be tilted to clear the 90 degree barb and hose, then the hose is easily removed.
I soaked them in Kaboom (similar to CLR I believe) to try and remove any deposits. I then took a syringe and forced cleaner through the nozzles, both forwards and backwards. I also used some fishing line to push through the nozzles to clean them as good as possible. After rinsing them thoroughly I reinstalled them and checked the washer fluid level.
Well, when I checked the level, I noticed crap in the bottom of the tank, so off came the pump. A lillte pressure from the water hose and the tank was washed out. Reinserted the pump, plugged everything back up and I was set.
Before cleaning, my passenger side nozzle didn't work at all. The drivers side was mediocre at best. Now the passenger side works good, but the drivers side is awesome, good strong stream.
In other posts there was discussion about finding replacement nozzles. Here are pics of what an 80 series nozzle looks like, its mounting tabs, and the hole it fits in in the hood.
I hope this helps someone else out, as this board has been very helpful to me.
Thanks
Nak
