I am helping the family of a friend that passed away sell some of his beloved Toyota's. His 2007 FJ Cruiser has a cracked windshield. I feel it would be a lot easier to sell if replaced. Can someone tell me the approximate cost for having this done.

Thanks!

Have had it done for $250, but I supplied the new top trim with clips. Go ahead and get the clips for the little sheet metal panels adjacent to the cowl. They will break the original clips and they won't tell you they did.

Here's the diagram and it shows four clips per side.

Thanks!!! So if I have read correctly if I just order the parts in the quantity you listed I will have everything needed for the install. Mind sharing what glass company you used.

Good Karma! I have a feeling you did the maintenance work on this truck. Sad situation but trying to make it as easy as possible for the family.

I used a small business guy that is no longer in business :( Most folks seem to use Safelight, but I'm getting ready myself to replace my windshield and might use Binswanger based on a friend's recommendation. They quoted just under $300.

I forgot to mention... The top white trim piece on older models is metal and the factory replacement used to be metal with separate plastic clips. Most windshield guys could not successfully remove this piece without bending it. However, now Toyota only sells a plastic white trim piece with integrated plastic clips. I guess it's considered a wholly disposable part now.

I *think* this is that upper windshield moulding piece. I replaced mine a number of years ago with that windshield I mentioned and it was metal w/clips. I have a plastic one now waiting for this new windshield project.
