I've been studying and talking to the people at ARB and it looks like I have the following options for a winch with their bull bar front bumper: XD9000, M8274 or M8000. Do you guys have any suggestions?

I run the XD9000 which needs a couple of plates added to clear the bumper properly. 8274 is going to be big and bulky for the front end. Normally you want at least a rating for 1.5 X vehicle weight which is close to the 9K. ARB used to sell a 10K Warn winch to be used in this application but they discontinued it, that's the one that I wanted. 12K would be more than ideal and doesn't require the plates for clearance but the price jump over the 9K is one I couldn't justify at the time. On the other hand people run the 8K without any problems I have heard of but I would say you were leaning slightly to the under powered side of the spectrum with it, there are people that claim the 9K is not enough as well.

If I had the money I would get the M8274 any day of the week. I settled for the M8000 and its worked fine so far. Atleast twice your vehicles weight is considered best so technically I'm a little low but it works.
I have mine mounted to a hitch so I can't help with the mounting for the ARB bumper.

Whichever you do end up choosing my two cents is to definately upgrade from cable and go with synthetic. It saved me from getting drenched on Rubithon, not to mention it is so much nicer to handle than cable.
