Winch Closeout Sale

Sam's Club is closing out their Champion brand 7500lb winch for $150.11! Looks to be the same China import as Milemarker and several other companies are selling for a whole bunch more $$$. The Sam's in south Tempe had three, after the Patterson brothers pillaged they are out, but try the other stores. Sam's stock number is 618411C.

Well, it didn't last long in the stock configuration. Bolted it into the ARB and the solenoid box hits the lower valance, requiring some careful spacing, trimming and bashing to fit. the solenoids must have heard from their new electronic buddies that mounted that low on my junk the possibility of swimming is high, so they applied for divorce. A frame will be fabricated to support that side of the winch and the solenoids will ride under the hood near the battery where their dainty little electrons can remain somewhat dry.

i think if i ever get a winch i will mount it upside down behind and under the front bumper. basically make a new splashguard to hold the winch up under there. it should tuck up nice next to the crossmember right under the radiator area.

i asked the wife if i could get it, but i already spent my allowance on a new stereo system, soundproofing, and a stout tie rod from marlin,,, if they still have them next week i just might finally own a winch

update: seems the wife sees a good value even for the cruiser, she gave me an advance on my next allowance and now i gotta find me a winch

new update: you patterson boys must've stumbled onto a mix-up with the price guy, i called all 5 other sams clubs in the valley, no closeout price $298.74, congrats on the score!!

yeah I second that. I'm down here in Tucson and they looked at me like I was stupid since I couldn't read that the sign said $298.00. You scored, well as long as that cheap winch works when you need it (sorry just I'm just bitter).

My brothers "father in law" has one of those. And I give that little baby a work out almost everytime he comes out with us and no problems so far. I get to try stuff I wouldn't even consider by myself when he comes along. I would buy one in a second if I wouldn't have lucked into a free 8274.

Keep an eye on them, the story I was told is that they are being closed out everywhere, maybe not on the same date in all markets? These had just been moved to the closeout area in the back of the store.
