It’s a 30 year old metal bracket that gets hammered on for 30 years and is in a terrible location in terms of mud/salt/corrosion.
The brackets and hardware get renewed. That’s non-negotiable for me.
s***ty Gabriel’s get removed….
New delicious ready for install.
Rears prepped and ready for install.
Will remove fronts in AM and we should be golden for front install as well.
Waiting on new hardware for panhards from Toyota and some more sway bar bits.
Should have them in hand tomorrow AM.

Inspiring build. That will be like a new 80 when done!
Thinking about getting my 97 painted as the clear coat is failing. Have been ordering new weatherstripping, etc. for some time now. Seems like it's a never ending list once you get started.

Onur, is that some sort of retaining clip on the lip of the upper shock mount?
Yes. Comes with the MRR shocks. Anti-rotation washer.

Hey my man…. These bolts were covered in a secret red manufacturing sauce. I’m not a manufacturing sauce specialist but the red sauce on these bolts is sticky…. Not sure if it’s some sort of cosmoline or thread locker…
My man in Yemen found some serious unobtanium….

Ya these are actually red. Seen some with the coating too. I would post a pic but I think we installed them on a Cruiser and sent it.

This has to be costing a mint with all the OEM parts plus the neat things like the MRR shocks, Delta and Dobinson arms. Would be interested in the total when you're done....or do you/we ever get done.....

When building a Land Cruiser, I don’t keep track of how much I’ve spent…. I keep track of the great times, good friends and family I get to use it with and the places we go…
The money is irrelevant for me.

It's definitely relevant to me, but I still don't have a car payment. I will tell you we have easily exceeded my budget, and that's with Onur very generously buying lots of parts for the truck that I didn't reckon on.
It's actually difficult to tell who is having more fun at this point. He really loves this truck (despite the 3FE) but also loves that I love it.
