I just started running a set of Wild Country MTX mud tires and didn't see any reviews on them here, so I thought I'd put up some info. I got E-rated 265/75-16 tires because my rig is a low rider(no lift) and I can't have any rubbing. These don't rub at any point throughout the full articulation of the suspension as they are a 32 inch tire.

They are certainly somewhat noisier than the AT's I took off, but not terribly so. Rolling resistance seems higher but that's to be expected coming from an AT tire. I read on the forum how M/T tires generally suck on the road in snow, I'm not seeing that with these on my truck. Not bad enough to worry about anyway, and hardly enough to notice. Off the road these are incredible, deep snow is simply not an issue any more. Have to wait for the thaw before I can rate them in the mud but I'm not expecting any problems there either.

Cost was a huge factor for me in purchasing these tires, 5 tires mounted and balanced with wheels properly torque wrenched back on and all state taxes and fees came to a hair less than a grand. I'm very satisfied with them at this point but I have less than 1000 miles on them now, so I guess time will tell. Two thumbs up so far!

I mounted mine blackwall out so not much to see, but I'll post some tomorrow.

Here's some shots from this morning. The tracks in the snow pretty much sum up the difference between these and an A/T, both tracks are from 265/75 tires, one the winterforce UV all terrains, the other the wild country MTXs.

Hope this helps some other folks on a tight budget!

Just an update for anyone that might be interested in these tires. I have been running these for about 4 months now and I am still quite happy with them. I was concerned about their snow performance and was pleasantly surprised; we had a big year for snow and there were zero issues with these tires in snow, on or off road. Now we are finishing up mud season around here and I'm happy to report that their mud performance is truly excellent! I am super pleased with them in the mud, the grip is fantastic. As a dedicated mud tire the noise is certainly noticeable over an A/T tire, but not as bad as I was worried it might be, and the traction increase is totally worth it. Not sure about durability because it's only been 4 months, but I don't see any abnormal wear or other issues with them so far.

I'd still give 'em two thumbs up!

Glad to see this report. Looking to get a set from my local tire guy. About 750 out the door. That is for 31x10.5x15, which is the cheapest size they are offered in. I am looking forward to them.
