I just started running a set of Wild Country MTX mud tires and didn't see any reviews on them here, so I thought I'd put up some info. I got E-rated 265/75-16 tires because my rig is a low rider(no lift) and I can't have any rubbing. These don't rub at any point throughout the full articulation of the suspension as they are a 32 inch tire.
They are certainly somewhat noisier than the AT's I took off, but not terribly so. Rolling resistance seems higher but that's to be expected coming from an AT tire. I read on the forum how M/T tires generally suck on the road in snow, I'm not seeing that with these on my truck. Not bad enough to worry about anyway, and hardly enough to notice. Off the road these are incredible, deep snow is simply not an issue any more. Have to wait for the thaw before I can rate them in the mud but I'm not expecting any problems there either.
Cost was a huge factor for me in purchasing these tires, 5 tires mounted and balanced with wheels properly torque wrenched back on and all state taxes and fees came to a hair less than a grand. I'm very satisfied with them at this point but I have less than 1000 miles on them now, so I guess time will tell. Two thumbs up so far!
