I was over in Dripping Springs on Tuesday and spotted this 40 setting out beside the "Central Garage" in Dripping' around noon.
I didn't get to stop and look around, but it looks like is has Smitty style bumpers front and rear. Paint looked new on the rear area, but the hood appeared faded. No winch. Looks like a V8 conversion since I see a tail pipe on each side of the bumper and a cat' hanging under the driver door.

Does anyone claim ownership?

I'm in Drippin' about every weekend (went to school there), this is the first I've seen of this one. I do have a front bumper like this one has laying around my place. I live on Hamilton Pool Rd. and sometimes I see a really nice dark green 40 pass by and also a "Mustard' yellow looking one going by. Not sure where they are coming from or where they are going, but I would like to catch up with them to see if they are aware there is a club and if they would like to join.

Yo Michael,

That may belong to Mark Mellon-Wrench? He owns several red FJ40's and parks them in different locations all over Travis (and Hays) County. He only has one at his house at any given time. Mark says that his wife can't tell them apart so she thinks he only has one 40. Pretty clever eh?

Lee

LOL!!!

Lee WTF - You know Michelle surfs ih8mud, damn, now Iam going to have to find another way to hide all these FJ40! :D

Henry,
Glad to see you surfing MUD again.
I was thinking about you this afternoon. I was helping a friend of mine and his roommate to set up a DSL connection and router at their new quarters. I noticed the time on the laptop and thought that we were very late for getting finished. Roommate corrected me and advised that the laptop was configured for Venezuelan time, which is where he is from.
As we were all leaving their quarters, the roommate saw my Land Cruiser and was very surprised. "Is that an actual Land Cruiser?", he asked, "Those are like, indestructible aren't they?"
"Yep, that'd be correct on both questions", I replied.

Hey Lee,
I thought that the "Drippin' 40" might be one of Marks. But I thought that all of his had the 60 series rims that he keep buying up.

Thanks, I surf MUD at odd times, whenever I get a chance, but as my 100 project advances, I get more and more psyched!

Venezuelans are like Cruisers, we're everywhere! :)

Yes - my plan is to corner the market on FJ62 rims!!! Then run the price up to SOR prices! I'll be rich! ;):):)
