I used to wheel back in the early 90s with my 85 toy. I've got a 1990 xtra cab that I want to fix for a badass wheeler. But being out of it for so long I would appreciate some advice. I was thinking of 3 link front and 4 link in rear but I've noticed a lot of guys go 3 link with springs in rear. Would like to be able drive it down the road to get from one place to another without trailering all the time. Going to run 40s with rock assault housings, chromoly axles,etc. So the question is 3link front and 4 link rear or 3 link front spring rear?

I like to wheel past dudes linked with my leafs all the way around. I see more with 4 link rear and leafs up front. I think the front is pretty tight getting 4 links in
