So I am doing a complete restore on a 1974 FJ40 and I am starting to fell like I bit of more than I could chew. The tub has been soda blasted on the outside panels and glass blasted on the underside where there was rust. I have been doing some body work and filling holes but don't really know how to move forward with getting some primer on the body. I need to understand about cleaning the metal and prep for spraying. I bought some OSPHO and cleaned up some of the surface rust that has started to form since getting it blasted but I am nervous about rinsing the body metal with water before applying epoxy primer. What would be the best process to move forward. I bought a gallon of PPG EPX-900 CPC-7 and wanted to spray some but winter is setting in here in Colorado so I guess I will wait till spring. Until then I will work on finishing the bodywork.
Thanks
