just got off the phone with a guy at 4 wheel parts, he said that there is only one aftermarket wheel available for the FJC, and that is a 17" ProComp 107. I know that I have seen othe FJC's on here with other rims. I would really like to find a 16" wheel....any suggestions?

This $ in my pocket really needs to go into the FJ;)

Oh you can find plenty of alloy 16" that'll fit the FJ but steel is a bit quickers.. since it's not "flush" enough on the inside it doesn't clear the caliper.. it's more roundish in the inside of it.

If the 17" Alloys are a $1500 or so option? - is that right? - then forget that - go with something like Weld Wheels; chrome, easy to clean, nice .. maybe a little too 'pimp' for a functional 4wd? If the tires are wider than the wheels at least it would be difficult to scratch them up ...

The 17" alloys are a $650 upgrade. The 16" TRD wheels w/BFG AT KOs are $1,599 but you can get them from www.trdsouce.com or www.trdparts4u.com for about $130 each ($650) and put whatever tires you want on them. Plus, if you do it this way you get to keep the wheels and tires that came with your truck.

4 Wheel Parts has turned me off a bit with the way they try to sell you things you don't want, or need. "This is the only tire/wheel combo that will fit your truck" etc is a common line with them. I'm not impressed with 4 Wheel Parts and would stay well away from them. Besides, they mostly cater to that Junk commonly referred to as a Jeep.

Did somebody with a Jeep kick your ass or steal your girlfriend or something? Man, every post you make is bashing Jeep.

For people that can never have stock rims (like me) but have a tight budget - MB Wheels from Discount Tire - $185.00 each - chrome, low maint -

The 17" alloys are a $650 upgrade?? - my bad. I thought I read somewhere the dealers were asking $1500.00.

Oh well, I'd definitely rather have the MBs for <$750 and have something a little unique and chrome is always easy to live with --
