Wanted to let ya’ll know I’m starting to plan another trip, which will be a 3 or possibly 4-day trip of wheeling, camping and exploring. I haven’t decided on the destination/route yet but some of the routes I’m considering are the Hole-in-the-Rock trail (south of Lake Powell, accessible in-out only near Hall’s Crossing); South Park/Pleasant Canyon loop on west side of Death Valley; Cerro Gordo/Swansea Grade; Moab; or other options. I’m looking at one of the following weekends, depending on who is interested and available:
Oct 15 – 17
Oct 29 – 31
Nov 11 - 14

Let me know if you're interested.

Fall Wheeling Trip - October 22 - 24, 2010
Destination: Death Valley
Trails Planning to Run: Titus Canyon, South Park/Pleasant Canyon, Echo Canyon

Mostly easy going trails with some sections of rough/fun stuff: drop-offs, rocks, narrow ledge, steep climbs, dry (hopefully) waterfall, tiny water crossings, miles of pin-striping brush - but be prepared for any current road conditions

Incredible scenery: old mines, rock art, sweeping views, miner's cabins, waterfall (hopefully running), Ballarat, Panamint Springs, Beatty, Furnace Creek

Requirements: stock rigs ok with good ground clearance/tires/recovery gear, two nights of remote backcountry camping, CB radio, extra fuel if you don't want to purchase in Death Valley
