Anyone have experience with the AR Chambers?

My-Rims-opt.webp

or the nitto mud grapplers?

I really like this combo, but am a little wary of the road behavior of the grappler. I don't think it could be much worse than say a BFG Mud Terrain, could it?

any feed back?

No feedback, but I dig the rims.
Would look even badder with the fake beads on the sides of them.

Saw some real nice rims like I described on a Tundra in this months 4WD Toyota Owner magazine.
They are called Robby Gordons, and can be seen on page 53.

BFG Muds are like racing slicks compared to the Nittos. I drove beside an F-350 running those Nittos and, I have to say, they are the loudest tire I have ever heard. They look WAY cool, and may be very good in the mud and on the rocks, but they will wear fast and probably handle like crap on the road.

That said...you'd have the toughest looking FJC on the web with that combo...

I went to TLC in Van Nuys Ca. Yesterday. They had the AR rims you have pictured and they wanted to test fit them on my FJC. They put one on (16") and it fit fine. They only put on the rim with no tire....so I have no idea about tire clearance.

Another thing they mentioned to me is that if I liked the 17" wheels on my FJ, they could powder coat them flat black for me. They had an 80 there with the Toyota rims Powder Coated and it looked pretty damn sweet.

Thanks Downer. I am stoked they fit! now if i could only get my FJ here:doh: . with all the waiting all i can do is pick out all the add ons that need to be purchased. I still like the Nittos even if they are loud. i have heard good things about their tread wear even on pavement, compared to other aggresive treads.
