Hey guys-
I’m looking to replace the stock wheels on my GX470. I’m looking at both used FJ and T4R rims which both have a 15mm offset, which I think is desirable.

Need I have any concerns about 7-10 year-old FJ wheels that are in good to very good condition? I guess I’m already driving around on 12 year-old wheels myself and don’t have any concerns...

I like the older 8 hole FJ wheels but can find some virtually new 4R wheels for the same price, though I find the FJ wheels more aesthetically pleasing. The practical part of me says to get the newer wheels while another part of me says to get the older wheels that I prefer.
Thanks for any insight and help.
Steve

The only caution I would have is something I ran into using a set of TRD Tacoma wheels (the thick five spoke black/polished 17" ones): the inner barrel did not QUITE clear the GX brakes so I got about 1/16" deep scoring on the inner barrel.

I don't know if that would be an issue with the FJ wheels though.
