Whats this double line advertising on certain words

This is sort of a question for Woody but anyone can answer if
they know why we have it.

Everytime i enter into a thread i see all of these words underlined in
double and if i by chance stop on one, a balloon pops up and advertises
something related to the word, I personally find this annoying, maybe no
one else does though. Is there a way we can turn that function off on
our end so we dont have to deal with it, I sure hope i am not the only one
who is experiencing this....

I think it goes away if you buy a star.

it's actually been around for quite some time, like a year or more...I'm experimenting with a different provider tho presently, so the look has changed from what it used to be. Not sure I'm a fan yet, but I'm giving them a week-two to tweak things before I make up my mind.

and Wob is correct, they are filtered from any Star'd member (expect me)

it actually slows down page loads quite a bit, when the ****-tard system is going through trying to make its underlines --

actually, the page loads in it's entirety before the ads load...it adds a second to the finish time, but zero to the "what you see" portion.

have another server enroute to Reno right now...once that's installed, some of the graphics load speed problems will be cured.
