What's the scoop for next weekend up at Tuttle? Any concrete details as fo yet?

nothing has changed since this thread that I know of: https://forum.ih8mud.com/showthread.php?t=153154

I will be there friday night (after work). My folks will be down to meet me. My bro Mike is coming down from fargo also...I don't have an eta on him yet. My wife and my trail navigator are staying home this time because we have family from her side coming.

Eyezlee,

I would love to go man but I woke up today and my entire kitchen is backed up with water, both sides of the sink AND the dishwasher and then my daughter decided to tell me today that for a week her carpet has been wet around the toilet, SOOOOOO I am having to spend my fun money on plumbing crap.

Sorry. I also have 3 turkey tags to fill by the end of May so I will be having to hunt that weekend.

Maybe next trip, I enjoyed wheelin and visiting with all you guys last time.

Aaron

The other Mike C. from Wichita may come up as well.

Flatlandtrd (Jason) will be in Cali so we'll miss him:frown: Lucky bastid:flipoff2:

Any idea what the camping situation will look like park? If it'll be packed I'll likely head back south after food time.

Not sure on the camping...I wanted to run up there on sunday to hike the state park trails but didn't get time. I did manage to get my aussie installed though

is the other mike c on mud?

Its up in the air. If we stick around for the weekend I'll head out there provided we're not doing house buying stuff.

I really want to get out there its just that things keep coming up (like always).

They expect to be full by this Wednesday or Thursday at the main campground. 785-539-7941. She said that Fancy Creek is first come first serve and she did not know what to expect.....Will and I might drive up on Friday or Saturday and spend the night, or we might just drive up Saturday and drive back that day. Driving that RV is great for a few days camping, but just overnight gets expensive. We have a b-day party on Sunday afternoon, so we need to leave by late morning Sunday for sure....So in short we will be there on Saturday for sure and we will see about Friday or Sunday....Craig

I'm doing this for ya'll. Plenty of floor space for those needing a place to crash during our next wrenching session.

And it'll be kid tested by then too:D

I am planning on showing up with the wife on Saturday, and staying the night in a (motel ?) up there. Then staying most of Sunday, maybe around 5-6p before we head out.

Only bad part is I don't think my parts are going to make it here on time, and if they do I am not sure I will have time to install them prior to the trip. Will the rig make it OK all stock? My tires are 5-7 Bus-days shipping and did not order them until today, and I know my other parts won't be here until the following week.

Anyways I still want to go, and the wife wants to go somewhere with me for the weekend, (we havnt done anything like that in years). We just want to get out of town, and spend some time together doing something we enjoy.

tuttle is stock friendly...;)

There is a small hotel in Randolph but I cannot comment on accommodations...there are many hotels in Manhattan.

The little hotel in Randolph is now under new ownership so maybe it is better.

I stayed there a couple years ago and it was a nasty little place. I couldnt sleep cause twice in the middle of the night I woke up with a spider on me and it was not the same spider. :crybaby::o I hate spiders, when I get a spider on me I dance around like a river dancer on crack.

The bed I slept on was so broken down that I was sleeping in what felt like a bath tub, or a cereal bowl, or heck I dont know, I just know my feet and head were higher than by arse and by a long way.

Oh well, it ended up being worth it cause there were tornado warnings all night and hurricane like rains that night and I stayed dry. :bounce:

Good luck guys, I wish I could go with you all this weekend.

Enjoy.

I think we're gonna pass on this weekend. It's looking like it'll be super busy at the park for camping and for a day or a day and half of wheeling I can't be bothered to fight for tent space. I think we'll shoot for next weekend and head up Friday night for Saturday. Plus it'll give the park some more time to dry out.

Booo!

I'm willing to wager there will be plenty of space...between my dad and I we should be able to save a spot or two but you have to let me know for sure if yous coming ;)
