Tare threw out Pismo Beach in August..

anyone else have any ideas???

I think the general consensus is that Pismo will be the next attempted get together. It would be very stock rig friendly.

EDIT: Upon further inspection it appears that Pismo in July was suggested. Might be a little soon for some.

Nothing for me - no time until a booked Norcal trip to the Mojave in October and the Surf n Turf get together in November at Pismo.

I should be game for most anything. also up for some PM parties if anyone needs them.

My PM list
birfs
plugs and leads
diff and t-case fluids
rear brake pads
radiator flush
Hanna slider install
connect the lights to my ARB bull.

i am sure there is something else. I can help with phh's, front brake pads, starter contacts, and arb install.

Thanks for4 the invite to big bear.
Had a blast but need a lift. I was the FJ.
Got an OME monday, and new 295 Nitto's today.
Jeff and I had soooooo much fun. Would like the chance to wheel with Tear, Mo and Brent, IF you guys will have me back.

Thanks Again,

Stan

Stan, were you in a Blue FJ, I saw one with a shovel attached to the rear tire carrier as I was heading down from my camping trip.?

Biff, I was a grey FJ with the socal 80's but took the easy way thru.
Stan

Oh!!, just curious because I did see alot of FJs going up.

Saw Stan's silver FJ with the 3" OME lift after scouts last night. It REALLY LOOKS SWEET! Can't wait to see the 295's on it.

It may just require a day trip Stan!

Let's go back up week after next.
I love the new stuff.

I think I'm going to hate you after I see the FJ with the 295's Stan. :flipoff2:

I bet it is going to look awesome. Can't wait to see it.

Ok so we can all see Stans FJ ... is there a place close that we could do a day trip next month. Somewhere in So Cal that isn't as much of a drive as Pismo??

Maybe we could go up to Hungry Valley or out to Ocatillo Wells? Another area that would not have alot of technical but is nice to explore is El Mirage Dry Lake, the lake bed itself is obviously flat but there are trails to cruise around on and it is only about 1-2 hrs from OC and fairly centrally located. A little farther out is Stoddard Wells and/or Johnson Valley (I don't mean the Hammers) has some nice moderate trails to cruise around on.

either of those options sound good mo'. I would like to do some camping if possible.

Anyone want to help me install my new Hanna Sliders:eek: , CDL:D , and cup holder:rolleyes: ?

Hey mo, does tillie know she has been replaced?

Smit, It took me 35 minutes to install the Hanna Sliders by myself. They are that easy to do and well built. Everything lined up perfectly. I did use air tools but it wouldn't be that much more without. You do need a good floor jack if you want to do it solo. I would be happy to help you if you want with all three. Honestly it would take maybe 2-21/2 hours tops. Assuming you don't mind driving down here of course. ;)

Tillie and I had a long talk and she agreed to relinquish the avitar for now as the picture is pretty cool and she was co-piloting at the time it was taken. She had her hind legs on the passenger door and her front legs on the seat. :D She must know I am writing about her, she literally just now jumped into my lap on the recliner and started staring at me. I think she may have changed her mind on the avitar. Looks like I better sleep with one eye open tonight or I may be :skull: .

Hijack finished, as you were. :flipoff2:

I don't believe we have settled on anything Stan. I just found out about a place in the San Diego area that is reputed to be fairly challenging and would not involve a long drive for most. Sorry to those in LA and beyond to the north. I will throw it out when I have more specifics and see what the masses think.

I am very ok with San Diego, i love it down there (so does my wife). I am not avail. 8/12,8/13, and 8/20. Other than that I am good to go....for now. If it is too technical and my LX is too low to the ground then I could possibly ride shot gun (if someone has room for me and possibly my wife, these things seat 7 right?) with someone else and learn...or walk beside all you guys (either way I will have fun and learn).

Smit

PS...I have a digital video and a digital camera so if I am forced to ride along I can try to document...

Mo, is this place called Los Coyotes? I've been there in my Scout and there are some great trails in the area, if they are still open.
