Toyo's are very heavy tires. I really like them and they are quite durable, but very heavy. Next time I'm going with BFG's. "Unsprung weight" is going to be the hardest on your fuel economy. As for most armor the differences in weight are going to be minor and considering how little a hundred pounds is to a vehicle weighing in at over 5k I wouldn't worry as much about those bits. That being said I would have to agrea that ARB is quite heavy even for a bumper.
 
I agree, technically the armour/bumpers/winch added up to only 1/10 of the total body weight, but my mileage still dropped. Getting rid of the top basket and replacing the entire roof rack assembly with the Baja seems to have help noticeably.
 
Yeah I think the rack really does hurt us. I'd say that the rack and the tires are my biggest fuel killer...that and the windshield :grinpimp:
 
Those should be standard equipment in any rig, much less an offroad rig. Also required for any sanctioned runs.
