What is going on with Cruiser Corp?

Yes, thank you both. I was thinking the same thing ( better to be safe than sorry) and purchasing from CityRacer, especially when he really did the work on this item. Not worth it worrying about the shipping anyways.

Thanks again.

new year, new post? i'm going into this optimistically(informed optimism), but the return policy has me worried. so, according to what i've read on their site, if they send me a damaged product, i must pay shipping to return it? oh, hell no. radiator for the fzj came in a week back while i was traveling. inspected it today. bent side and crushed fins. so, it's damaged, which is by far the worst part. however, i have another issue with the order. in the description they invite me to replace my "plastic-tanked" radiator. in my mind, this implied that what i was buying was not a plastic tanked radiator...

anyway. if i can claw the payment back, i will. i don't intend to go through unnecessary bs with a company people are clearly having problems with, and one that uses deceptive language in their product description.

pics of brand new radiator attached (or they would be, were it not for a server error)

update: I am working with Julissa to replace the damaged shipment. Cruisercorp is covering the shipping cost. Will update when completely resolved

second update: the replacement radiator arrived, also damaged. bent transmission cooling nipple and same deflection causing fin crumple. have reached out to julissa again via email just now. it's a saturday, so we'll see next week. at this point, their willingness to make it right is a positive, but the two damaged shipments does seem like a quality control issue. also, the second shipment came with faaaaaar less packing material. i'm surprised it wasn't in worse shape.

i think they ship with fedex, which is another downside (and probably its own thread). i've never not gotten a damaged shipment from fedex. once they dropped off an $800 miter saw on my porch in a completely exploded box, parts strewn across the porch.

Fed Ex is pure trash.......... Fired them 2 years ago ( 100K a year account shipping with ground and freight and they could care less ) and will never use again for my business. If I know a company ships with Fed Ex I buy elsewhere.

HOWEVER, MIKE AND TEAM HAVE ALWAYS BEEN TRUSTWORTHY. NEVER HAD AN ISSUE WITH THEM.

Third update:
Third radiator arrived. Same manufacturing defect as first two. They must think it's a feature. I've attached photos. You judge. Screen shot of Julissa promising me an all-brass radiator. Received plastic and aluminum. They want $500 for this "heavy duty" item, but can't even get me one that doesn't have a crumpled side.

I asked for a refund, cause, yeah, I'm done with them. Mike did call me. He told me that he'd refund me. Sent me the return labels. That's great. He also tried to gaslight me into thinking that I was just too picky. Told me that all radiators come with "minor imperfections." This is not an minor imperfection. The bar for $500 radiator should not be, "will it hold pressure today?"

Cruisercorp is doing the bare minumum. They knew exactly why I returned the first radiator, so why would they send out two more with the exact same defect? Like, you know I'm going to return that one too, right?

Trying to gaslight me is shameless. I appreciate that other folks have had good interactions with "Mike," but I have not. I will update again when I receive my refund for this defected, damaged, misrepresented product.
