Hi all - it has been many moons since I have lurked or posted on this forum. Anyway, I have a hardtop from a 76 FJ40 that I want to get rid of and was wondering about what to ask as a fair price. The liner is long gone and while the glass and seals on the side panels are in good shape, the lower edges are very rusted. The fiberglass roof panel appears to be in decent shape as well.
Thanks,
Steve

A rusty hard top is worth about a penny a pound if you have a good scrap guy.

I threw away 4 sides with glass last year after trying to give them away for years.

What condition are the fiberglass, rain gutter, and other upper pieces in?

Any doors come with it?

Where are you located?

I sold my '75 hard top with both ambulance doors and both driver and passenger doors for about $500. The hard top had major rust along the bottom rear, the ambumance doors had great metal but were missing some hardware, the drivers door had a new bottom section welded in and the passenger door was completely rusted out on the bottom.

In the end, it's worth whatever someone will pay for it and whatever you're willing to part with it for.

The fiberglass is in decent condition - not so sure about the rain gutter. I think I need to take a few pictures and post it in the classifieds.

located in Fishers (NE of Indy) and the doors are long gone.
words of wisdom. Thanks. Steve

I might be interested in the fiberglass top. Mine has some rust on the front metal part that looks difficult to deal with.
