Is that going to rub when you turn?
What size tires will you run?
If I do that I will go for the wider track.
In any case, they look good!
Who did them?

How did you do that?
Got a 4' wide by 2' long piece of black vinyl from a fabric store, had some 3M spray adhesive left over from a previous project, layed the dash pad on the back of the vinyl, snip here, snip there, dry fit it first, then sprayed the stickies on the bottom part of the pad first, pull tight and tuck into the inside of the dash, rolled it over and did the same to the top side. Took me about an hour and cost me less than $6.00

I am running a sprung over, shackle reversal front end with high steer
345/75x16 BFG Mud K2
I am using 1.5" spacers to get the wheels outboard in the stock position

Stockton built them for me from wheels I supplied

I finally located a smog pump, now I have all the parts and can begin to reassemble this 2F.
I rented a shop since I don't have a garage, and will be moving the 40 over there by the end of August.
First prioity will be a complete rebuild of the front knuckles, and assembly of the motor
I can't wait

hubby took the busted fan clutch off and got a replacement from O'Reilly - they have a lifetime warranty on them for a reason, I guess, this is the third of their POSs

meanwhile, a superduper fan clutch is being tuned by the master . . . :bounce: :flamingo: to be installed at a later time

Getting closer to starting on the body work

Refurbished the heater box & blower and added them to the stack of parts in the "finished" pile. The chassis is essentially complete. A handful of peripheral parts left to clean & paint then it will be time to tackle the bodywork. I just hope I can find all of the pieces when it's time to put it all together.

Finally got my top off!! I have had the truck for over a year and a half and just got to the point where I need to start moving on this thing. What's missing in the area where the top was? A gasket maybe? Any suggestions please!!

Sure is beautiful Cleg! But why have you coiled your brake line here:

CoiledBrakeTubingCleg.webp

Axles are subjected to "shock movements".

So in that position I'd expect that coil to contribute to metal-fatigue and consequent line damage (rather than protect against it as you probably intend).

Over the past few days I picked the 40 up from Edwin's shop and fixed some fuel line and fuel tank issues. :o

The 40 purrs on the highway, but remains quite bouncey even with the 5125s (bling bling). :grinpimp: :grinpimp: :grinpimp:

Today, I took my little sister for a ride and stopped by Trudy's (by the UT campus). While we were grabbing dinner, someone hopped in, pulled it out of gear and pushed the 40 back a couple feet to fit into a parking spot. How do I know? They used the fender turn signal to push it; broke my driver turn signal. I had no idea this was happening. When we walked back out and I saw the damage I was f**king livid. Good thing neither they nor their vehicle were around when I got there.

Here is a picture before the idiots had their way with my junk.

That is really nice. The truck is also. ;)

When they bent your signal, did the fender metal cave in like mine?
I need to find out how to fix that because the support bracket is blocking access. I am tempted to put a scrwedriver in it and pry it out.
I am going to think about that for a while though.

That is a 4" and 5100s?

Thanks Rex. No caving, just a messed up mount. The turn signal now moves back and forth like a bobble head.

Yep; 4" + 5125s. Better than stock, but way more hoppy than my old YJ.
