What have you done to your Land Cruiser this week?

After Pete Condos sold ConFerr, the new owner Maurice made a few changes to try and keep up with the changing currents. Newer buyers were looking at platform racks, so Maurice added platform flooring kits as an add on to several of their more popular racks.

I had to change the plywood deck on my rack for the second time since I got the truck in 2009. I decided to make a narrower sleeping platform than before and use part of one of the flooring kits I got when Maurice closed the doors in 2008.

With any luck, I will be testing out the platform in the near future.

59 people would rather have popups than log in? Or is that cyber-traffic trolling for personal data?☹️

I thought you'd locked your Inbox so you couldn't get any messages from pesky customers. How dare they email you?!!!

I'm guessing those 13 unread emails have been there since before you had your Inbox locked.....maybe 10 or 15 years ago?

GPT cant spell cruiser lol

That just needs a good cleaning like simply green sprayed on a rag and maybe some acetone. Then rewrap and wire ties. I did mine. I turned out great.
Unfortunately there are some fried wires. The path of least resistance was the ground between the alternator and voltage regulator. Going to take the opportunity to clean up some extraneous wiring, repair a few sections, and better integrate the headlight relay wiring. I’ve cleaned up the wiring diagram to use it as a guide.

Finished installing my quick hinges that I started months ago. Had all of them done except the driver upper. What a PITA!

I think I read someone claimed to have them done around 45mins. They either have no concept of time or full of s***. Possibly both!

Or…they had the tiny hands of the worker whose job it was to install the originals!

Made it move for the first time

Made it move for the first time

I was absolutely certain at the beginning of that video that the "move" was gonna be 4 guys pushing it  but really, congrats... and well done.

Haha, it started with 4 guys pushing against it to make sure i had brakes! :steer: thanks man. Always a great day when it first moves

Printed a TPU gasket for the 4 Wheel Drive badge. I know they sell them, but I enjoy the challenge, and if you have the tools and materials to make it yourself, why not? Happy to share the STL file if anyone is interested. Tried to find the thread where 3D print files get shared but couldn't locate the one I have seen in the past.

The newest of the 13 shows a date from 2020! It’s probable that some of them don’t even own a Landcruiser any more!

So yeah.😉
