I’ve been doing 60 series stuff.
While it is most impressive and amazing, y’all don’t want that stuff in here.

Says who? I ONLY have a wall with 330 license plates...Maybe we can exchange parts!
To be fair that’s Jimmy’s @CenTXFJ60 magical barn.
He is kind enough to let me use his lift and the shop around it.
Just completed (for the most part) a manual swap in my FJ62. The 60 series “what have you done to your LandCruiser today” doesn’t have the same energy as here.

I got a non-running 40 a while back. Haven’t done a darn thing to it.

A few weeks ago I ordered all new coolant hoses. This week I placed an order with @Coolerman, and today I received this in the mail from @arthog.

Things are finally happening.

Really, I just wanted an excuse to be a part of this thread!

Did you really pay $30.00? That's a bargain...

yep. sure did!! suggested by @Aloha Jen and it’s awesome for the $. i’ll give her the credit
Yeah, it’s a steal at $16 USD…especially since it appears to be decent quality. We’ll see how it holds up over the years though. I’m really happy with mine.

Do you have a link to the steering wheel cover please?
This is the one I got off Amazon:

This the the size that fit nice and tight. It might feel too small, but it stretches and fits nice and snug after you lace it up.

Just remember it takes about an hour and a half to two hours to do the stitching pattern all the way around. I used a YouTube video to learn it and it helped with the final knot to finish it off. I believe this one is the video I watched:

Hope this helps!!

Thanks! I did the Lonckey on my 200 so this is probably similar.

Took the kids to go skiing today but they lost power so came home and decided to do a quick tech write up.

My 60 is my DD but since it’s using about a gallon of coolant every 2 days, the 40 will take over that task for awhile. Biggest issue for the 40 and these mid 20 degree mornings is the cracks in the windshield seal let in more cold than the heater can counter. (That and all the other gaps). So today, I resealed my windshield. This may seem like a daunting task but I assure each and every one of you can do it with the right tools and a little patience. My seal had big pie shaped cracks in the corners from dry rot I presume.

A little black rtv and boom! Toyota FSM approved reseal. The orange rtv actually boosts mileage and hp but I feel it clashes with capri blue so sacrificed a little power for looks.

One day I’ll actually put in new seals. One day.

Couple guys selling Fs up here for like $200, too. This motor is original and spins really nicely by hand. Super clean top end, very clean oil. I think it’ll be a great candidate with out doing anything but tune up Stuff. Thanks Ian!
