You won't want to use that recovery attachment if you receiver is the common FJ40 type that bolts to, and hangs just below the rear crossmember. If your stuck and pull on it, it will bend the bottom of rear crossmember up and out. Fyi.

There is no doubt that the rear cross member is not a very great mounting for the receiver hitch and is susceptible to bending at the midpoint. However, our off road use is on the beach. So, to the extent needed, recover should be for extraction from soft sand.
. The kinetic tow rope hopefully prevents any sudden snap. We will see.

Bought a cable disconnect from @Fourrunner for the winch
Overflow radiator bottle from city racer and powder coated the bracket.
Have done other things as well.

The kinetic strap will help a lot. My hitch got bent inwards when I lost traction on steep bedrock and slid backwards and it hit. A few years later I dragged a broken Chevy back to the road with a chain (don’t recommend)… after that it was straight again.

Put some glass in and the rear hatch
I put a cheap Chinese overflow bottle on. It’s probably better that just draining onto the ground.

From what I’ve seen recently on a wanted form Dave Gore made them if I’m correct.
I bought my cruiser from my dad a few years ago and he already had it.
4plus, there is a thread somewhat recent about a possible production of those coming again. I may have read that @orangefj45 may have had one on the shelf in Norcal.
@lcwizard may have posted once about production is the easiest part, shipping and storage are the biggest hurdles.

We have a bottle bracket coming out soon.
Started with just putting in caster shims but the pin that came with them is slightly too large for the hole in the spring pack. Gotta remove the springs to enlarge the hole a bit. Figured I should cleanup the spring pack and reassemble while they are out. Should I just treat rust , paint and reassemble or should I grease between the springs as well?
