Knuckles have been rebuilt. All my new brake parts should be here tomorrow. Up next is new cylinders, shoes, and soft lines for the brakes. I also ordered 5 new 31" Yokohama Geolanders. I debated my tire choices for days and days. I really wanted 33" Geolanders, but I'd have to get a 16" wheel for those. I figured a 33" tire on stock suspension was a little too big and my top choices for a lift are backordered. I didn't really mind the look of 31's with a 2" lift, so here I am. Not like it can't change down the road...

I saw this cruiser that some hillbilly made bows out of emt conduit to support a full length bikini top.

Oh wait…. I was the hillbilly…. Serves its purpose for now: keep the sun a little more off the kids and the seats not so hot. It’s the TPI full length top.

That’s absolutely perfect for its intended use.

Looks like you have the approval of your little one. And that is really all that matters.

My wife, for some reason, became irritated that I park my HJ in the back yard instead of the front. She demanded "You need to start parking that truck in the front, with the other car."
I ignored her and kept parking it in the back.
A couple of days later she insisted again, this time making it a bigger deal.
I replied: "I'm going to keep parking it where it is."

And... that was that.

That's what I did last with my Land Cruiser: parked it in the yard and kept it there.

Found my clutch spring hooked on one end under the dash like this, cocoon to butterfly transformation so to speak.

Drove it up Cohasset road and down into deer creek then back...
Along the trail someone notched this fallen tree so a truck could make it through. Today I'm glad I didn't lift my truck... The road was washed out and all messed up and that's exactly why I went...
This weekend I should get it back around to all 00000 on the odometer...

The thing inspires me.
I did not plan this journey it was a detour on my way home from town. This landcruiser is exactly what I needed in my life... A reason to go, adventure, on the path less traveled, because landcruiser...
No other reason is required.

Man it is hot. Drove it early afternoon yesterday to drop my son off at a fishing pier. Im talking about 10 miles round trip. My t-shirt was soaked by the time I made it home. My son turns 16 in a few weeks at which point the 40 will become my DD for a while.
Its going to be rough until it cools off a bit.

Next post from @Catching Neutral ……….. AC install 😎

@imyahucklbrry ….I am thinking AC in a 40 here in August would be largely ineffective.
You might be surprised. We’ve averaged a high of 103-107 here in Houston for the past couple of weeks, and while the A/C in my 40 wont freeze you out, it does keep me from breaking a sweat when driving it. I’m certain that driving it without A/C would quickly result in sweat soaked clothes here!
