Possible, although it’s never wet in that area but rather a crusty residue after I use the heat…. I just wipe it off when it accumulates!

I wish I was more like @GA Architect - I’d obsess about this stuff on my floor mat then pull the heater to totally redo and improve it but………..

Replaced the power steering pump, last one had a small shaft seal leak that slung a nice black sludge as the oil burned on the belt inside the hood and fender. Also added tweeter speakers, snuck the wire under the knee pads and held in place with two sided tape. The most amazing part is both repairs came out well the first time, weird…

Finally finished my minitruck steering box rebuild last week so I could take my youngest daughter out to Roundup and wheel it!

Put in a new MC for the clutch by converting a new brake MC (47200-35011 ) and swapping over the reservoir, end cap and taking out the end valve. Good to go!

Played in power steering oil to remove both hoses and double male couplings to seal the threads with teflon tape and thread sealer. Hopefully, it will not leak any more.

Finally got my 1975 FJ40 back in Honolulu, HI after some time in storage in CA and being stationed in Guam for the last 3 years.
Just got it registered and legal in Honolulu. Now the fun begins again driving it and preserving it.

Was given some yellow fog lights by a friend. I really like the look, a little bigger than stock but I think still in the spirit.

Also took care of an oil leak, hence the puddle on the pic

Now I really have to redo that terrible front cross member!
