Chirp/squeal gone. Man, that was driving me up the f***ing wall. POS serpentine belt that Valvoline put in there just 9 months ago, smh. OEM went in this time around of course.

Replaced the tensioner pulley too since it was kinda dirty.

oh my f***... this was horrible. even 3 weeks of pb blaster couldn't break this UCA bolt free from the sleeve, so I finally just cut the head off and tried using spacers and such with the fastening nut to pull the bolt remnant out, and the bolt snapped...

PXL_20260321_215957476.webp

now to buy a new bolt/nut and some fixed spacers from cruiser patch so I can not deal with it again...

now back to getting the oem exhaust manifold out on the passenger side

Got started pulling the seat bottoms off. Not terribly difficult but kind of annoying. I had some down time waiting for Amazon to arrive with my new hog rings and special tool so I wiped down some of the interior bits. Carpets a mess, even after steam cleaning it a few years ago. I’ll tackle that another day.

My weather tech second row floor mat also arrived so pretty excited to get that in… even though I don’t have a second row lol.

Hey, thanks for the reply and for the input but if you check out the link in there that goes to the original post, you’ll see I won’t be replacing anything.

Oops, missed that.

Well, I guess you Don’t need a rear glass for that one.

Glad kids are Ok after this! Scary stuff.

Replaced my brake booster in the beginning of Feb and had a series of brake related issues happen right after. Had to replace a brake line and brake hose. That fixed not being able to get air out of the brake system. But pedal still felt horrible and sticky. After lubricating all the hinge points on the brake pedal I discovered the front passenger caliper was sticking. So friday I replaced both front calipers and pads. Pedal felt better but was still sticking after 20 mins of driving so I drove around today for about 2 hours adjusting the brake pushrod that connects to the master cylinder. I think it's finally all working better now. 🙌 after that was sorted out I gave her a wash and parked it.
I also restored the headlights on my Tundra yesterday and replaced the front camera on it. I'm tired.

Fun times after my wife called from the grocery store parking lot. Pulled the battery, charged it (it tested fine), drove it home. Ordered a denso alternator which will arrive tomorrow. Pulled the alternator (pita btw) 😡. Found multiple cracked vacuum hoses. So that’s fun. Guess it’s time to show this beast some love again.

👆 experienced Cruiserheads know that is mostly mud not rust. I have excellent boots on the ground for this one but I am still curious what it will look like after a hot water pressure wash. I see 90% rust free after degreasing and mud removal. 🤷‍♂️

Cheers

Congratulations! That is a great looking truck. My 100 and my other truck got an east Texas "red earth" covering from attending Toyota Jamboree. I used a few cans of Gunk Engine Brite Original and Foaming spray with a parts brush to scrub the frame followed by a coin operated pressure car wash. This is how it looked at the carwash when I was done. If it was mine, it wouldn't take long to make it look like this one.

Skip the hog rings and use zip ties. Much easier and just as strong.

I finally have no more busted ball joints in the front and new bushings top and bottom as far as control arms.
We will see if I manage to get the steering rack, OTRE, lines, and pump replaced next weekend.

I think I’m sitting level now which means I need to get beefier springs in the rear
Front measured at 21.5” so I’m at 1.75” lift up front (I wanted a little wiggle room as I’m still expecting it to settle, Dobinsons says need minimum 1.5” lift)
Big fan of big tire small lift so this will likely be the max I do in the front
