“What have you done to your 100 Series this week?”?? Well, we totaled it. 😔 Snowbank rollover at about 55-60 mph.

Daughter was driving with a friend and they walked away without a scratch.

EDIT - clarity of who was in the vehicle
Was on an extended business trip and finally got home after this happened. TCLA sticker survived sort of.

I'm TERRIFIED of rear glass breakage, we have such a huge, exposed rear glass that's probably discontinued (didn't check).

Had to replace one on the wife's Lexus RX a few years ago after a 4th of July stray bullet went through it, on a car that sold way more than the 100 series, and 10 years newer, an aftermarket glass that's all wavey, looking back in the mirror gets you dizzy, went for $700 installed. Don't want to think about ours..

Maybe replacing the whole hatch makes more sense?

Just got my '07 back from @OTRAMM who did a huge refresh job for me:

All OEM:
Entire front suspension (shocks, UCA/LCAs, hubs/bearings, CV axles, tie rods, hardware etc. etc.)
Steering rack
Front brakes (calipers, rotors, pads, soft lines)
Diff/motor/trans mounts
Exhaust manifolds (both!)
Globes
Muffler/flex pipe exhaust replacement

I had a big parts stash that I couldn't get to, plus my garage is jammed up with overflow from a home renovation project.

The car feels AMAZING. So much tighter and more solid, no hint of a clunk anywhere, power delivery/downshifts seem less of an "event" and smoother, and the suspension is supple and well-damped. Also with the new exhaust it's SO QUIET that after they backed it out of the bay and left it running I didn't notice that it was on.

Finally, the guys at Otramm are great. Highly recommended.

Needed to practice my TIG aluminum skills and a friend had an 1/4” AL skid plate for a 5th gen 4Runner that he was not able to fit to his GX. Got it for $300 thought I would try to make it fit on the LC.

None of the holes lined up exactly and had to make and modify mounts. Had to grind out access holes ( doing that by hand with the die grinder looks terrible)Also needed to cut it and and a 2” strip to make up the gap.

The first welds on the centre mount were crap and frustrating but just like everything else in life, more practice and things go a little better.

Not a professional job but I am hack…so a hack job it is. We’ll see how well it holds up. Might be putting the factory one back on.

It’ll do exactly what it’s there to do. Doesn’t need to be pretty.

Finally got around to doing the wheel bearings and outer tie rods on the front. I failed twice at doing the tie rods, once without the tool and once with - I realized that I had to remove the dust shield to get to the tie rods with the pressout tool (hammering them out didn’t work), so wound up taking care of the wheels bearings at the same time.

Fit look real good. Who did you use for the leather replacement?
Wife ordered me the seat bottom replacements for christmas so I ordered from the same place where she got those for the color match.

Hey, thanks for the reply and for the input but if you check out the link in there that goes to the original post, you’ll see I won’t be replacing anything.
