I recently installed stock sized K03s on my 1998 LC and have been very happy with them. They are a D rated tire with minimal noise and unlike the K02s balanced with minimal weight. I run E rated K03s in a different size on my 2025 Tundra and they’ve handled everything I have thrown at them. That said I had Toyo AT3s on my Sequoia and they were also a great tire. Better on road without giving up much off-road performance.
Do you experience any harshness going over small potholes or cracks ? I have C rated KO3s on my 100 , but I feel like they are alittle too stiff for Chicago streets .

replaced the fan clutch after 310k miles. I was noticing that the AC would get warmer while sitting at stop lights so I started looking around and figured this was the easiest fix first. the fan pretty much spun freely while the car was off. slight resistance, but nothing compared to the wife's 200. Was able to get the fan out without removing anything except the upper radiator hose. it ended up sliding out with the flange coming up between the thermostat housing and where the upper radiator hose fits onto the engine. not too bad, and took maybe an hour, which included me having to find an extra 12mm box wrench in the neighbors garage since I guess I only had one and couldn't get the flange to stop spinning while I was trying to break the nuts free. I used new nuts, however mine were probably fine to reuse. they weren't too buggered up. Ill work on refurbing the old one and put it in storage, just in case.

I did not notice any increase in stiffness versus the previous passenger rated tires. That said, I do run E rated KO3s on my Tundra and my 3rd car is a G82 M4, so I greatly prefer a firm ride.

I'm an off-road newb for the most part. Is it possible to do Moab in a way that won't beat the crap out of my well-cared-for Hundy?

There's easy trails, hard trails, and everything in between.

A few days ago, I was attempting a rotors/pads/lower ball joints/outer tie rods swap. Bought about a hundred dollars' worth of tools (54mm nut, hangars, and much more), and a bolt snapped in half on the right front caliper right out the gate. That set the tone for the whole job, so I let the guy who extracted the bolt do the rest...On a lighter note, I swapped out my tired PowerStop slotted rotors and pads for a sublime Brembo combo. During embedding, Brembos let out a massive puff of smoke, like tires on a 747 upon landing. Startled me a little.

Today, I am changing the color of my Icon Rebounds because they are no longer black; hard water and merciless FL sun have killed them over the past 5 years. I fully expect a catastrophe to strike at some point.

Yes. Gemini Bridges and Long Canyon trails. Schafer Switchbacks to Potash Road which will take you back into Moab. Start with those and see what you think.

I hadn’t posted the end result of my re-upholstery on the seat bottoms because I was waiting to see if I should heat gun or steam the wrinkles out. After only a week and 4 or so short drives the wrinkles look a lot better so I’m going to let them naturally de-wrinkle and if they don’t get much better I’ll try alternative routes.

Also, peep the new weathertechs 🫣

I really only meant to order the second row one but when I got it I liked them so much I decided to order fronts. I kind of think I should have gotten them in black but I don’t hate the beige. Oh well.

Another weekend, another project.

Shout out to @terryscott621 for the motivation to get this done. Only did the cargo area. Haven’t had a chance to drive it around and get impressions yet.

I might try and do this soon since it’s warming up. I think I only have enough to do the back area

That was my motivation as well. A few nice weekends. You only need about 10 sheets or so to do the cargo area. Which is about 8 lbs or so minus the scrap you cut out.

I've been wanting to try the Akioverland floor mats. My weather techs are smoked and the bottom is all gooey

Finally got my first hundy brake issue. This on my '06 LX with 332k miles. Now consistent buzzing and dash lights. Took accumulator motor out, now waiting on new one to replace. Hopefully that will do the trick, for now at least.

The seals on your master cylinder might be leaking causing the system to not maintain adequate pressure and motor to run for a longer period of time.

The motor would run normal time frame to build pressure or much shorter like just a few seconds..... and buzzer today has lasted much longer. No signs of leaks.

The buzzer and lights were on for about 15 minutes as I drove home with no difference in brake pressure. Not sure if it was actually building or if I just made it home in time before no brakes.

Just got my vehicle back from the collision center after a careless driver completely wrecked the front — fender, bumper, hood, grille, headlight, and fog lights all messed up.

Installed Prinsu rack and Took it straight for a much-needed escape to Indiana Dunes.
