I have the same thing going on with the boots on my steering rack, does this mean there's a leak?
Mine are the same. Probably a leak

I know I have a small leak in mine. What is the tipping point on deciding when to replace?
I guess you don’t want to go so long and leak enough fluid to cavitate the pump. I’m sure the PS pump isn’t cheap.

I saw this Pic and immediately recognized it as San Diego - Mission hills /Hillcrest?
South Park area. I've seen another 100 on the street with Ben's 3dp fogs and was gonna leave a note but I missed it

HZJ105 I purchased today! It’s not in the USA yet but that is in the works!

👆 experienced Cruiserheads know that is mostly mud not rust. I have excellent boots on the ground for this one but I am still curious what it will look like after a hot water pressure wash. I see 90% rust free after degreasing and mud removal. 🤷‍♂️

Cheers
Where/How much? I've thought about maybe trying to import a 105 over an 80 but my main thing if I import one I'd really like a diesel solid axle.

I had bought a new one when I made the decision to swap out my whole ps sytem and it was about $250 from Serra Toyota (during a 25% sale) showing them at MSRP of $440 right now (44320-60310 for my 2000 LX)

Just finished painting my front bumper w/ Raptor Protective Coating 2K.

Have not been happy with the last two sets of KO's, so trying Toyo for a change.

What didn’t you like about the KOs? I’ve had them on several trucks, but not on the 100. Was thinking about getting them when the current set is done.

Moab trip # 15? I can't keep track any more.

Had a great time with my brother bringing his 80 along.

We hit Hotel Rock, Comb's Descent, Porcupine Trail, Hell's, Fin's, Uranium Arch and Doug's Point. I so wish there was a way to squeeze just a bit more lift on the front IFS on our 100's. I'm running SPC upper control arms and all that you can do. Aftermarket T-bars are cranked but not so much that ride suffers. It gets the job done with a front locker and CDL but lots of front bumper paint and metal is left out there on the big trails. Could go high-clearance front bumper I suppose. I've got a locked 80 but it's too darn mint and stock to tear up out on the trails. I'd love an SAS swap but don't feel it's necessary for what I do. Tempting though!

Hey, looking to take a trip that way in April, not looking to bash my rig but what trails do you recommend? Fins for sure but what else, stock AHC, bumper and sliders.

Also check out some YouTube videos to get an idea of what the trails are all about.

If you wanted to get your feet wet first on easy trails, Gemini Bridges and Long Canyon are an easy out and back. Head out of Moab on Gemini Bridges, come back into Moab on Long Canyon trail

That would be my suggestion as well. Sidenote: Fins ain't nothin' - especially when you're being rushed by impatient SXS's and skinny pedal addicts. Picking good lines is key to not beating stuff up.

Agree. First part is easy. Anything past "the wall" can bang you up if you're not careful.

Even the bypass for the wall is rough. I gave the wall a go but I'm not locked (and felt rushed) and had to take the bypass and while it isn't as long of an obstacle the skid plates were "utilized".

Definitely on the skid plates. You'll hit skids and sliders after the wall, even if you do take the by-pass.

I recently installed stock sized K03s on my 1998 LC and have been very happy with them. They are a D rated tire with minimal noise and unlike the K02s balanced with minimal weight. I run E rated K03s in a different size on my 2025 Tundra and they’ve handled everything I have thrown at them. That said I had Toyo AT3s on my Sequoia and they were also a great tire. Better on road without giving up much off-road performance.

Have run both KO2's and KM3's on my 100. Both were impossible to balance and always gave some vibration between 60-65. Very happy with my Wildpeaks.
