What have you done to your 100 Series this week?

Figured it out! I had crimped a wire too tight and cut it. Took a bit of testing with the multimeter to find it. Anyone have issues with the trim piece for the double din unit not being tight? Mine is a bit loose.
My double din surround came with some 3m tape to secure it but I’m not 100% on the radio I currently have in there

This week I finished up my M8274 Revamp and install. Some cutting required, but definitely worth it for the upgrade in pulling power and line speed over the Badlands 12k that was on the truck before. The 8274 has been upgraded with a 15k motor, brake upgrade, and a full refresh of the upper and lower housing. I also opted to switch to the Albright Contactor, and adapted many of the features from the badlands, such as the wireless controller.

Clean looking 100.

I have been using just the adhesive version of their basic mount for a couple years now, with no movement or signs of peeling off/failing. I have it stuck on the dash just above my head unit.

That’s what I’ve been using as well. I’ve redone the mount on my Tundra about 4 times and the LC twice, they just ain’t staying stuck. I’m in the southwest so probly dealing with a lot more sun/heat than you are.

Great I had been wondering about these in the spec you ordered them.
Would you mind posting a shot of the side of the truck from a straight ahead angle?
Is the top plate textured as in anti-slip?
We ordered the non-AHC version (as it is deleted) and full top plate. Its not slippery nor over textured

Just keeping it clean and rolling down the road with zero complaints. Might have to weld up a crack in my DS exhaust manifold because it failed inspection, though.

Factory headlights still nice and bright, too. (IMO: keep those electrical connections and grounds clean and keep the battery topped up, so as to prevent the underhood electrical corrosion that adds up to voltage drops at the bulbs and elsewhere.)

What’s your ground cleaning procedure and do you use dielectric grease after cleaning?

@gamiviti load bars and Bilstein 5160s on all four corners. The OEM shocks lasted 272,000 miles…View attachment 4056666
That is pretty incredible shock life. I bought my 100 almost ten years ago with 240k. The shocks were OG and horrible. They were probably gone before 200k, but the previous owner didn't realize it.

I replaced them with the adjustable Rancho RS9000XLs. Which lasted for maybe 75k miles. But I was very hard on them. The final straw was a weekend spent in the desert 85° at night 115 during the day, driving at pretty high speed on washboard roads. Severely overheated them. One rear gave out and then on the way home, one front called it quits. The 400 mile ride home was pretty floaty.

At 315k I replaced them with Eibach Truck Pro's, which have been great and remind me of the Bilsteins I had on my Jeep and many other vehicles. Still feel new at 350k. The only reason I didn't go with Bilsteins is because on the 100, they offer the least amount of travel.

The best thing about the Bilsteins, is I have never had to replace them on any vehicle I have owned yet. Never broken one or overheated one.

Interesting. Are these the Eibach Pro Truck's you have on your vehicle @04gto?

Nice 100! I’m partial as I have an 02… I ran across this thread as I have 2 8274 winches and I am in the middle of rebuilding them. I can’t locate a true Albright contractor anywhere except at gigglepin. I can buy it there but it seems slightly more expensive with having it shipped all the way here. If anyone knows someone here in the states that has them in stock that would be super helpful!

I love my Quad Lock but I hate the dash mounts, they will not stay stuck. Windshield doesn't work for me as it would interfere with my sun shade.
It’s funny you say that I’m faced with the same problem now so I think I’m gonna get a split sunshade to replace my umbrella sunshade for each side of my windshield
