I got a Quad Lock for mounting my phone in my Land Cruiser. I also got one for an old Accord I drive. These things are awesome. Check it out!

I love my Quad Lock but I hate the dash mounts, they will not stay stuck. Windshield doesn't work for me as it would interfere with my sun shade.

Wanted to add a recent, firsthand data point to this thread—not to argue with anyone’s experience, but to give some balance for folks researching.

I recently installed Land Cruiser Heaven leather covers on my 100-series and had a very positive experience end-to-end. The product quality, pattern accuracy, and finished look are outstanding—very OEM-correct in both grain and fit. After seeing them installed, I ordered the rear covers as well.

One thing that’s important context: these are made-to-order, not shelf inventory. Frank has a perfected pattern, but the leather is sourced and sewn by artisans in Argentina. That means lead time is part of the process, similar to any small-batch upholstery work or classic restoration shop. If someone expects Amazon/Katzkin timelines, that’s probably where frustration comes from.

I called Frank directly before ordering and found communication to be clear and straightforward. Once expectations were aligned, everything went smoothly.

Bottom line: this isn’t a mass-market seat cover kit. It’s a low-volume, pattern-correct solution for people who care about OEM appearance. In my case, the result speaks for itself. Just sharing another real-world outcome for anyone weighing options.

You need to try The Wedgie from @LJE

It fits in the tape deck and holds a RAM mount.

That sucker ain't going anywhere!

Inwill post pics later.

I have to admit, I had too much fun after greasing the driveshafts and doing a diy alignment

The 770mile roadtrip over the weekend to Carlsbad CA and some driving around San Diego and back to Vegas was ⛽️ fun. Curious to hear what’s everyone’s radar system of choice?
You're worried about speeding tickets? In a 100 series? :D

Thanks for the review. Now if I could just get them to return my messages!

I don’t have a tape deck either. I am considering his ashtray mount.
Those are on the shelf & ready to ship out! Always open to you giving it a whirl and sending it back if it doesn't work.

Well, with all the rain in LA, the sunroof finally started leaking. From the seal in the middle of the window on the rear it appears. When it stops raining my plan is to RTV it. Have folks had success with RTV'ing this specific spot on the sunroof? Note that I don't think it's the drains since I can see where it's leaking in and my floorboards are dry.

Installed a new head unit and speakers today. Wiring was a pain but I’m pretty happy overall. The old ML system was terrible and only a couple of the speakers worked. Everything works great except the passenger rear speaker. Nothing. I’ve swapped the speakers from side to side and still nothing. I checked all the connections and wires and I have no idea what the issue is. Driving me nuts.

Truth be told my top for this trip was 95 (gps speed) and was cruising at 87 95% of time and still got a consistent 15mpg (actual gallons filled and difference of miles computation). A MAF sensor, all 8 spark plugs + coil plugs and O2 sensors are brand new - those are the only variable factors that happened recently. Truck sits on 35x12.5s ATs with aerodynamics of a water buffalo.
I’ve gotten close to 15mpg with my 35s and you’re doing it speeding?!

The outcome was something I wasn’t really expecting. My usual interstate NV-CA-NV speed is 75 and would get an average of low 16s. It was just this outing I decided to do a little experiment to see if the ‘fun’ can maybe outweigh the cost, and it didn’t disappoint. Actual mpgs was 15.2 with the above mentioned ave speed. So not really too far from its usual but this time the 100 was unexpectedly ego baiting raptors and trxs.

Suggest you confirm speaker wires to the nonfunctional location are good… continuity test from the amp or head unit ( if no amp) to the speaker location.

It is not unheard of for wires running through from the body to the door to become work hardened by exercising the door, and the conductor inside the wire to become broken.

Do a continuity test to make sure the wires are good first.

I siliconed mine and it stopped for a bit. It’s started leaking again though. I’m going to replace the sunroof seal altogether when I get a free day or two, which never happens with little ones. But yeah my leak doesn’t even get close to the gutters. Just drips right off the back.

I have been using just the adhesive version of their basic mount for a couple years now, with no movement or signs of peeling off/failing. I have it stuck on the dash just above my head unit.

Figured it out! I had crimped a wire too tight and cut it. Took a bit of testing with the multimeter to find it. Anyone have issues with the trim piece for the double din unit not being tight? Mine is a bit loose.
