Gwatts, mine was what we call in the business ....unplanned. My carpet is pretty bleh and I decided to yank it and replace it with truck rug(rubber). I am an audio snob, I understand all the concepts, just wasn't aware there was a readily available vehicle product. The great news is...I'm not done! If i weren't waiting on errant product, I'd skip this New Years dig and pad that bad boy up!

Mine is getting pretty thick back there already, how thick is this stuff?

Dynamat is sold because it's available and they've invested in the retailers. It's availability is what moves it. Believe me, I have no love for stereo shops. Had one destroy my stock BMW system with a satellite connector and try to dodge it.

Price for this is around $750. That's' not shabby in my opinion...Thanks for sharing this!

One of the best things I ever did was sound proofing the inside.

In my BMW days, I removed a door and, lacking the proper tool, could not replace it. Buzzkill.

But now that I've gotten my feet wet and gotten over my fear of destroying anything, deadening a 15 year old LC is quite addictive, as I can already hear the benefit from only modest improvements. Fixing the subwoofer will be a challenge, but I'm surprised how easy it is to toy with the back interior.

@benc how hard was it to take that panel off the center console? I am considering doing something very similar.

Very easy! There are just 2 screws inside the cup holder area. Remove those and it popped right off.

Added Slee battery tray. The factory one allowed battwry the slide around popping a cell cover off...

Installed a new steering wheel - my original was sticky. Found this on eBay for just under $300 shipped.

Finally done!!!

-TJM T13 outback bumper
-Superwinch tigershark 11500, synthetic rope
-she's going in for new pads and rotors on all four corners, coolant and transmission flush and fluid change.

This project is pretty much complete...for now.

Since December 23, I've been a busy, busy dude and did the following:
* Purchased 10k TJM winch, mounted it on ARB bumper, and mounted bumper (with help from my buddy/neighbor Rick using grinder). Also wired up TJM winch but it's not working!! (much head scratching on this one....)
* Installed IBM dual battery system that my wifey bought me for Xmas, installed the display/controller in the center console. So far, works like a champ!
* Bought and installed 2nd DH platinum battery with recently purchased Slee battery tray
* Bought and mounted Blue Sea fuse panel on Slee 2nd battery tray shelf, and wired both batteries to IBS.

New to me rims and tires. Tundra steel 18" with 275/70r18. So far I'm in love with the 100 again. Wife says the running boards have to stay for now so she has a chance of getting in still!

Integrated Escort smart cord direct wire into panel

Got myself a 35 qt Yeti that fits exactly in the jerry can holder.....been waiting to do this since I ordered my bumper and saw someone on FB did it on their 80.

.....Still waiting on my spare....

Now just to decide if I should drill and tap a lower hole to lower the rack down one rung.....
