Got to test out my suspension articulation a little today. Found a powerline service road...

...and also found a little dirt pile by the dog park:) It has been there for months so I figured it'd be firm enough to at least get one tire on top of but I ended up just sinking.

Make that a double dip. I'd love to get that.. Crazy to see custom LC products from all over the world...
triple dip. what's the piece for the cargo area too?

I replaced the starter with a new one...and also replaced the intake manifold gaskets. The originals looked good but did it anyhow. 5 hour job for me doing it all by myself....spent an hour trying to line up the intake manifold properly and then got a friend to come over finally and it was on in 10 minutes. Should have waited for help and might not have broke the two sensors right after the water pump...I think they are the water temp sending unit for dash gauge and maybe the sensor for electric fan. Will go Monday to get replacements... LOL

Installed New steering wheel.

Last week:
Lubed the drive shaft eliminating the exterior "bump".
Replaced the ML sub-woofer, returning the interior "bump"

I wrote up the specifics in an existing thread about these subwoofers.

That's from a local company in KSA called Alsunaidi that specializes in off-roading accessories and needs. I've seen some of the their products in the UAE, but I'm not sure about shipping globally. If you guys are interested in getting those bags maybe we could work something out. They've buckets for everything and places for devices such as power invertors or communication.

ok where do I get the center console bag :) thats awesome

It provides another level for storage and ease of access to stuff. See this picture for clearer view. Mine has an adjustable hight so you could change it to fit your needs.

Depending on the hoops that would have to be done to get it. I would be very interested in the one for the center console. The person that owned my 2000 before me butchered it all up when removing the wood grain.

Today, I filled it from the low-fuel light to full for $39.85. A record! I've also spent well over $100 filling the same amount in the past, so this was amazing.

Added my own version of rock lights tonight. Purchase a 5 meter roll of LED strips from Amazon that have twice the amount of LEDs (600 total) than other stands of the same length, and boy can I tell the difference - these things are BRIGHT. I took the 16.5' strand, cut it in half, and ran the 2 strands side-by-side inside the corners of my bumper and over my pods. Then I ran 1 strand up and stuck it to the top of the winch plate and the other below it, and joined the 2 again on the other side. Unfortunately I didn't have enough to do the wheel wells and sides but another roll is already on the way! Sorry for the fog, its been raining nonstop for the past 3 days here. Enjoy:)

They're wired into my existing fog light harness that the shop stuffed up inside my engine bay when I replaced them with the pods so they only come on with my low beams, so my next project is to figure out how to change that!

Love to see pics of the install in daylight, @TheForger ...

The bag itself costs around $20 and I think shipping would be higher being international. I'll have to check on that if you want. If you want to get it, we could arrange payment via PayPal.

Went and bought two new sensors to replace the ones I snapped off when folding my 6'3" 250# body inside engine compartment to re-install the intake manifold after replacing the starter. LOL

toyota_tundra_arrancador_2_0.jpg

Part numbers for the two sensors shown in lower left (Green on top and gray underneath) are as follow:

Green- ECT (Engine Coolant Temp) sensor: goes to ECU so it can identify engine temp and provide proper fuel/air ratio...vehicle may not run with it broke or disconnected. Toyota number-89422 and is $68.33 from dealer. NAPA (#TS6677) Price- MSRP $63.18, discount makes it $40.39.

Gray- Water Sending Gauge: sends temp readings to gauge on dashboard for water coolant temp readings. Toyota number- 83420 and is $27.10 from dealer. NAPA (#143-4037) Price- MSRP $28.73, discount makes it $24.67.

Neither the local Lexus or Toyota dealers had them in stock. So went to NAPA and they were able to cross reference both and provide them at a savings with parts that were fully tested already. The ECT (Toyota green head) comes with a one-use washer as well to use.

My 2UZ-FE is a 4-00 build date, 2000 LX470.

Pouring rain right now so hopefully will slack off soon...

Is that a bird or squirrel's nest?

Completed my largest job on the 98 so far:
4 new ball joints - Febest on the upper, Autozone on the lower
8 new control arm bushings, including the lower frame bushings
2 new front shocks - bilsteins.
Alignment of course

All kinds of squeaks, metal on metal clunks, loose feelings, clicks, all gone.
Harbor freight press and an autozone pitman arm puller (the $15 one) were the only two special tools req.

Like a new truck, damn I love this forum.

That is not mine but very similar to what I found in mine. My guess is it is a field mouse nest as mine had cat food piled up under the starter and old insulation piled up towards the front just like the one in picture. Must have been from previous owner before I bought it in 2010. The starter in it was a remanufactured so guessing this happened when it was sitting FOR SALE as his wife already had a newer used 2005 LX470 to replace it.

Added front mud guards that I got from Beno. Took off my running boards as the first mod and the mid guards really make it look complete. Stoked!

I have to re-adjust the bullbat again as it is touching the body again.

Got a 350# package delivered from some place called Golden Colorado. Contents of which is being carried home tonite......
