I have an '03 tacoma dbl cab with a 3.4L. I was thinking about throwing a remote starter on it because it's hot in AZ and I want the AC to be on before I get in. If I throw a system on will I need to have 2 remotes? Or can I make my stock remote work with the starter? Thanks!

If you want a remote starter, then get an all in one unit that has the alarm built in and ditch the factory system. You will have many more features, and better serviceability.

I have a CompuStar 2W900FMR alarm/remote starter and it works great. It also has a 2 way remote that will page me if the alarm is tripped, and show me the status (like if it's running on remote start). It would be a spendy unit if I had to buy it, but I work in the security buisness.
