What did you work on tonight?

I got T-boned and the truck spun 270 degrees or 3/4 of a donut. Wrong place wrong time and I was heading to work early...
Moral of the story, snooze the alarm one more time.

Was gifted a 3d printer. Just started my first print 30 minutes ago.

Awesome! I wish I had learned G-code and CAD/CAM as a kid. I would have taken a small CNC machine to school and made parts in my room while completing homework assignments. I definitely would have had more money! 😊

Driving to work this morning and this happened!

I was able to walk away. Just need to get the T100 ready for the next demolition derby.😁

The T100 is back together and moving under its own power. No issues mechanically so far. The frame is straight, and the dents are cosmetic.

Ya know, I don't see a problem. I know it's taboo, but I don't understand why.
I admire the practicality ingenuity!

I can neither confirm, or deny, that I might have done this. I'm getting old, so I might not remember.

Whatever ails you, a BFH will make things right.

Some might remember this little guy from a 2018 or 2019 Gila National Forest trip and the wheel falling off! Lol... it had been parked for about 4yrs once i got a different rtt on the fj. And the wooden box started to rot. But! Slowly bringing it back for light duty trail duty.. New aluminum box and several more items on the list to be trail ready again. Axle housing and hibs were upgraded after the wheel fell off lol

Two afternoons ago, replaced my buddy’s clutch master cylinder in his 1985 FJ60. The seal had disintegrated and fluid was leaking inside the vehicle all over his shoe and his wife’s shoe. Couldn’t get it to shift into gear for some reason 🤔. Pretty easy job but obviously need two people so you can fill and bleed the system down at the slave cylinder.

Forgot to take an action shot in my driveway:

Been working on welding together NWTI front and rear bumpers. My friend’s 16yo boy got these for Christmas for his 1999 Tacoma. Pretty cool little kit.

That's a sweet lookin Taco right there. I have their kits on my 4runner and I got my daughter a kit from another outfit called Northwest Fab or some such thing. These kits have really improved themselves over the years and really makes it easy to connect and weld them up. My only complaint on my NWTI bumpers is that my medium size shackles don't fit in the shackle holes. Hopefully they've remedied that situation. Either I grind down the shackle or I do something else with the bumper shackle mounts.:(

What gauge sheet metal is used in the diy bumper kits? Weight of the assembly?

3/16, 1/4, 1/2. The plate that bolts to the frame horns is 1/2”, the shackle mounting points are 1/2”. The winch plate is 1/4” or thicker (can’t remember). Skin & wings are all 3/16”. It’s a stout kit for sure. Front bumper is probably 100-125lbs. Rear bumper close to the same.

Can anyone spot the missing item in this photo? I wanted to attach a quick-connect pigtail onto the battery so I could leave a trickle charger plugged into the LX while it sits in my garage for extended periods of time not being driven. It can be several days to even few weeks between drives. There is a really important part missing from the top of the battery! Buying a used car is fun game of discovery.

Yeah that’s just one big speed bump from a big arc.

Well, there is a giant, annoying, plastic cover above it (which had all the retainer clips missing). Ebay to the rescue.
