Well, after several months of walking during our spare time (mostly on weekends), we finally reached the Danube.

Oddly enough, the trail ended like this:

I don't know what, precisely, they are trying to say here. We wimped out and just turned around and walked back to Marjan.

Now, yesterday, I was impressed by the cars that pulled up in the parking lot: A variety of Porsches and two Lotus 7s. Today, we found this parked there, giving all the neighborhood kids an opportunity to play on it.

I love a good Fennek.

Today was a superior automotive day. Second dry and warm day in a row, so the Super- and Hyper-cars were out in force. Didn't get any pics, since on these little back roads, you hear them, they whiz by and then are gone. Lots of Porsches, Ferraris, a few Lambos and some other exotic stuff that all tends to look the same, but sounds like an F1 race coming by.

Now to start walking north, to the Main River.

FJ80 custom rear interior side panels

Purchased a 1991 FJ80 LC a few months ago fixing up as I drive, goal is Expedition Rig, original rear interior panels were trashed from previous owners pet trying to save itself from a man child of an owner. This project is unfinished as of now, still need to shave off screws on the back, install interior walls and insulate/ sound deaden. Will stain and seal wood for last step, thinking a gray color to match interior and to let some grain pop on the wood. Didn’t see any bolt on storage kits for the 80's, maybe I didn't look hard enough, but this should do, for now.

Went shed hunting and almost got trapped in the desert by flash floods

The only road back runs in the wash that flooded for about 5 miles

So where about was this? Looks familiar, can't quite place it. Glad you got out. How was it driving in the wash? Was there enough grit to give you traction or were you sinking in the mud and trying to float on top?

This was just west of St. George. The water was about a foot and a half deep and it really wasn't that bad 90% of the time because the wash/road was full of gravel and rocks. It was scary though because you couldn't see anything through the water and didn't know if you were driving into a hole or boulder lol. There were definitely some pucker moments when I found a few deep spots and mud pits.

Pretty daring, in that situation I would have just waited it out. The Utah clay that could be under that sand/mud is like polished ice when it is wet.
I had been waiting for about 3 hours and the water level had dropped a few feet, also the rain and hail were starting again so it was go for it or stay the night. I know what you mean about the red and purple clay, it's all over this area. I really had to goose it in a few spots, but this is why I drive a lc.

Toyota ATF has additives that prevents Shift Shock. Although the A442F runs on any Dextron 2 or 3 based oil the difference in the shift changes and smoothness I found absolutely great. Especially the hard change from 1st to 2nd when coasting.

Went to Lowes to look at window blinds (shout out @LS1FJ40). Been meaning to replace my starter for some time and it was non-functional when it was time to leave. I didn't have a hammer on hand but after a search of the planters in the parking lot, I came across a good size rock. A few bangs to the starter it fired right up. My wife thought I was a caveman Mcgyver.

I got caught in a monsoon in southern Utah in 2009. I "waited it out" for 2 days, camping in the rain, as my only exit got worse and worse instead of better. I agree. This is why I drive a Land Cruiser. In situations like that you don't take pictures. Your own pucker adds traction to the truck and you make it down. Glad you guys got out ok.

We have 2 family rules:
1. Feel free to do whatever you want as long as it doesn't cause a problem for anyone else on the planet.
2. Stay out of the news, unless it's positive.

Been a while but finally got my Slee rear bumper installed. Loving the new stance !! I am in love all over again!!

Heavy weekend for me. Installed my Aussie Locker, Fabbed and installed sliders with @blarsen, drove to WY to pick up a flat rack which was beautifully made by @reevesci , got it all painted and finished. Then washed the pig and made it less dirty.

A few of the custom bumpers. Once again, @blarsen talent, my labor, and good results. Either side of the spare are Jerry Can holders. 9k badlands winch. Still working well after almost 6 years.
