Installed my triple power point in the center console. Also ran the USB cable from the GPS and GoPro mount by my rear view mirror through the A pillar to the same spot. All electronics in one spot, no wires dangling in my field of view, and protected (hopefully) through a 40A inline fuse. Now the phone and other goodies can be stashed out of sight and behind a padlock while I'm surfing.

New birfs and brakes plus knuckle and bearing overhaul. terrain tamer birfs, 8o rotors and 100 pads from Onur. Rebuild kit from Kurt.

Anyone had issues with 100 pads dragging super tight on fresh rotors? Have some searching before diving back in tomorrow for the rear brakes.

I just put new rotor and green stuff pads [with backing plates] on my 97 LX and couldn't believe how tight the fit was. But the directions I got with the pads said I might here dragging for up to 200 miles.

I actually even smelled burning for awhile. But I broke them in per instructions. Light driving for 200 miles then a few hard stops from 60mph down to 20mph now they work great.

Since last weekend, my wife and I have started going out on our Main Donau trail walks in different rigs. It effectively doubles our daily walking range, since we can drop one vehicle off at the trail end and then ride together to the start point. We also play tag on the way to and from the trail, finding trails that are off the beaten path.

She has a 2003 Jeep Liberty with 214,000 miles on it. The PO took meticulous care of it, so its pretty nice. Plus, he got it with rear lockers, so even with the lame rubber it currently has, it's ok, off road.

On our walk, we came upon a bunch of teenagers learning how to rock climb.

At the end of the trail, we had a delicious picnic lunch

The weather is so nice here all of a sudden (we had snowstorms every day last week) that everyone is hurrying to take advantage of it. So a bunch of Lotus/Caterham 7s and some really nice Porsches. One dude parked next to us with his Carrera 4.

You don't check your oil and examine your engine every time you tank up?

Pretty much. I was going to add that but I got distracted and wandered off.

I'm officially on team Prinsu! Pretty excited about it....but what is with the 9000 nuts and bolts and no instructions!?!
So my initial excitement quickly turned to confusion and feeling overwhelmed..........

.......then to me retreating to the couch for a sleep and putting it off for another day!

Nice! I'm fairly certain I'll be getting one soon, so I'll be watching for updates. Any idea how many of the tie downs you got? It seems like they they just grab a few handfuls of fittings and throw them in the bags.

Inspecting your engine compartment and oil level daily is a bit much.

Who said daily? Once a week I fill with fuel, and while the pump runs, instead of pulling on my dick waiting for it, I check oil, inspect the engine compartment and clean the windshield.

Do you drive a Model T?

I grew up working on antique farm equipment. It doesn't hurt a bit to develop maintenance habits. Probably why the vehicles I own last longer and require less repairs than my peers.

Tested the "height warning" bars at the parking garage downtown today. They are mostly right and ring with a bell like quality when struck with a Trail Tailor roof rack. No harm, no foul.

Wired my rack lights...4 7" 55watt HID's

What lights? I got the 7" 55w Avec HID. They are cheap. Not overly impressed with them but like I said, they are cheap.

Who's the member who had white knuckle build dropped sliders? I think they used 2x4 or 3x3 over 2x3 for the main rub rail to achieve this. I can't find the thread - I wanted to see pics. Thanks!

One set is avek and the others are sppc...both sets from Amazon...
Ordinarily I would have sprung for the hella 4000s...but given thier output and the fact they are halogen and draw so much more juice...I figured I'd try these...that and the fact they fit within my roof rack guard
