. After this, pretty much all my rubber under the hood has been replaced with new OEM over the past year. Also, just put a reman Toyota starter in a few weeks ago.Almost done....View attachment 1040730
I know it's not the weekend yet, but I just received an ELM 327 transmitter in the mail and successfully hooked it up to my cell phone with the Torque Pro app for Android. THIS is truly an amazing capability for o/a $20.

None of that rattlecan bedliner **** works. Just wait until the summer and redo it with Monstaliner, or whatever you want to roll on.
Welcome back.I looked at my truck as I rolled my luggage past her. Good to be back home.
Something like this?I looked at my truck as I rolled my luggage past her. Good to be back home.
, 8 hours later, finally kicked it into life (first turn of the key and no glow, not too shabby for 4 weeks sitting still
, gave up for the night, got up this morning and redid all the boost lines, moved a few things around and pressure tested successfully!
, so hooked it back up to the plenum and tried again, this time with much more success, first run 21-22psi (gate pressure only - 1.5 bar worth of springs), wound up the boost a few turns and it was off to 27 psi! but AFR's sucked at 26:1, so I backed it off to 24psi and AFR is around 22-23:1 @ WOT, which is a huge improvement on the pre upgrade setup with the stuck gate running 32 psi @ 30:1. The upgraded comp wheel seems to make a bit of difference, definitely spooling faster, but I'll only see what it's really capable of once I get the pump and injectors done. For now though, the butt dyno is registering an improvement, and I'm happy to have it back running again! In discussion with a couple of places as to the best options for pump/injector packages, there's always 2 sides to a good story, so I'm doing as much research as possible before handing over the $$$. Also plumbed up my air tank and nitto fitting for tyre filling and rattle gun operation, installed flush tie down points in the rear, and will have to pull the oil cooler out again to fit the thermo fan when it shows up...
:flipoff: Almost makes me wish I had OBII, almost.
Instead I ordered the EMS1 from Madman in South Africa. Was something like $450 CAD with Thermocouple, two fluid temp sensors and a pressure sensor, shipped.

Also monitors engine hours for service, battery voltage, pitch and roll and has a relay feature for engine shut off.
For all us pre-OBDII, this is a pretty sweet little device.
