What Did You Do with Your 80 This Weekend?

Finally got my drawer and platform setup completed and installed! This is version 2.0, so I really knew what I wanted, and it took some time, but all good! I also installed my ARB locker in the front, thanks to @cruiseroutfit for the fresh build! Did my less than favorite dash pull to get everything refreshed on the back side plus pulled all fresh harness wires to the ARB dual brushless compressor. Now a true triple locked beast with ARB's front and back.

Platform goals:
Get my big ass 6'2" 230 lb self onto it
Have a larger drawer for tools and use space efficiently
Built around my inside tire mount (I have the LRA tank and hate swing outs if I can avoid them)
Is modular so I can remove the passenger front side or both sides to fit my center row seats without a hassle (leave the drawer unit in)
Mounted to original mount points (seats, cargo hooks, etc., no new holes in the floor!) Solid as a rock!
Shorter platform in front of tire is for my Iceco fridge, storage hatch on the other side for more space for long term tuck aways such as fluids, spares, etc.
Get it done before I leave on April 11th for a 5000 mile round trip to Cruise Moab!

Before the trip:
Install new/replacement transfer pump to LRA tank, mine is getting old and sounds cranky!
Oil, transmission, and diff fluid changes (antifreeze, transfer case, and u-joints/drive shaft are freshly done)
Drain the rainy day fund for the $500 in extra fuel cost for this trip...
Do some extra nice stuff for my wife for her patience and being a garage widow for too long now!

I've posted a few progress pics, but all done it's coming together nicely!

That's awesome! This is what I envision in mine as well, nice work! Now, talk to me about that spare mount... custom? Kit? Care to share any designs?? 😇

Use the continuity position (Ohm) on your multimeter. It should make a beep and show 0 ohms.
Thank you... will do. Much appreciated.

Zero (Ohms). Excellent. Thanks, man.

Bellfab V1...here's a link to the revised V2 available from one of my club members!

What is this part of your air system and what do you use it for?

and @Dubbinchris is correct...the binky is for air...tires, whatever. next to that is just the fuse panel for the rear accessories...amp, compressor, fridge...

Front / rear diff and transfer case fluid change. Also installed new 10mm Allen head drain and fill plugs. Coolant/heater hoses on the way from Ourisman

While pulling off the stock arms and caster plates for DVS 4's, I also finally got to the bottom of my wandering dog symptoms and random shimmy. The rear bushings are toast, fronts prob too but not visibly.

BTW the arms are in the classifieds if anyone needs a set:

Man, I’m sorry that I can’t vouch for those products as I’ve never used them. But, as long as they aren’t too abrasive, I’d imagine they would… Bar Keepers Friend is another that comes to mind.
Don’t forget about Naval Jelly!

Did an oil change, installed a new marker light, and installed the slee headlight harness.

On the 96, replaced old charcoal canister hoses with new OEM and also did pcv valve hose and ventilation hose # 2 next door.

I was vey straight forward. My finger tips are numb from flipping the small lip over the inside edge. That was the worst part. I installed a new window run and new gasket which made it easier I think, but my window runs and gaskets were not reusable.

Any chance ypu have the part # for the gaskets and runs?

you might want to get a new gasket for the overflow bottle.....seems to be leaking quit a bit...
I have replaced everything besides the tank at this point and it still accumulates a little coolant there. At this point it is a no harm no foul situation for me.
