Would Flitz, Chemical Guys or Mothers work?
Man, I’m sorry that I can’t vouch for those products as I’ve never used them. But, as long as they aren’t too abrasive, I’d imagine they would… Bar Keepers Friend is another that comes to mind.

I have used Flitz in the past as a armorer but I do not recall how abrasive it was/is.

Try a test patch and see how it comes out. That’s some mighty hard steel. As long as it doesn’t leave noticeable striating, I’d wager that you’ll be good to go. I’m sure that others will chime in.

The Flitz was mainly used for polishing trigger bars, sear disconnects and other parts on 2A stuff, so I am sure it is not too abrasive.

Be careful, every single Harbor Freight drill press I have had or used doesn’t drill even close to straight! Not worth using on anything but wood projects that don’t require precision.

I see you have gone for it and done some things yourself. I am going to leave my posts since they are meant to be a warning to people who DIY.

Cheers
I post pictures here because I know I don’t know much, and the collective is good about letting you know when you have gone astray. I have been working on Cruisers all of 6 months, so I know I am going to learn some tough lessons along the way but that is how you learn. You have to start somewhere, and if I was perfect, then someone would be paying me to do it instead of just sweating away in the grease of my own vehicle.

Yup and that is why people reply and do their best to help you out.

Cheers

Did the radius arm push. I would not recommend it but longer arms are not an option for my application.

What is the radius arm push exactly? Based on the new paint can I assume it’s cutting off the mounts and re-welding them further forward? If so, how far? And why would the longer arms not be an option for you?

You don’t move the mount, you plate it and redrill the hole forward. I moved mine 11/8”
Forward.
For me I had already welded caster plates to the front axle mounts.
Moving the hole cost me nothing, new control arms are $1500.00
Do the new control arms look nicer, cleaner yes !
Does caster plates and plate and redrill do the exact same thing IMO they do.
I know others will disagree 😉

The only reason I can think of not to do plates and save $1,400 is it's a permanent modification.

😁Mines permanently modified in many ways !!

No kidding :steer:

This made a huge difference in mine. They wouldn’t go up without help pushing and now they work fine. Not rocket science fast, but fine.
Window rocket. 🚀
