Starlink is permanently wired through switch pros 9100. I have a line ran to the QPM area, and an open line for future components.

Last night I added the trail teq keyless entry to the HDJ81. Same kit, newer version, that I helped Ben test original prototype on my NA 92 FJ80. Version 4 is amazing and simple. One of the best mods.

Also added the trail teq clock spring hub adapter with steering wheel controls for my LC steering wheel. Same wheel as my 92. I purchased 2 over a year ago just in case. Ben’s kit was way easier than the PVS route I had to use on my 92 FJ80. Truly plug and play. Bad pics, as it was a late night install. More to come. Last one is my 92.

Something is not right with this image.....impressive wheel, but totally period incorrect and looks out of place....

That steering wheel looks pretty good there.

I love the modern wheels in some of the new Toyota cars. I was curious if actually fit the LC steering shaft.

Don’t neglect your suspension bushings…. Especially if you have wandering issues…

I don't need worn bushings to wander.

Cutting up the Cruiser. Huracan Fab tailgate storage going in. The angle grinder made quick work of most of the cutting but my electric file really saved the day and made all the cuts smooth. I've got additional upgrades planned for the panel.

Finished up Huracan Fab tailgate storage. I didn't want to throw away the OEM carpet and I really liked the softer surface.

Any tips for this install job, about to do mine too (old carpet will not be making it back)!

Newly acquired 1991 FJ80 ran fine the first week I had it. It started to stumble and lose power after warming up around the second week of ownership. I read this could be the pre filter on the fuel pump, but the previous owner redid the gas tank internals about a year ago including the filter. I will check that next week, but started with the obd1 codes. 24, 31, and 51.

I installed a junkyard Camry air flow meter and this appeared to fix codes 24 and 31. I’m not sure there was actually anything wrong with the original AFM. I need to go back and test it per the fsm.

Next was going after code 51. The throttle body was DIRTY!. The throttle position sensor was just out of spec on one measurement. Even after adjusting the TPS, at least one measurement would be out of spec. Installed a new Toyota TPS and was easily able to get all measurements within spec.

Waiting on a throttle body gasket to arrive from @cruisermatt and will be able to pit everything back together once it arrives. Hopefully this will resolve the cutting out issue. If not, fuel tank internals are next.

Cut the sheet metal out in sections to make it easier. There's some structure in the tailgate that is too tall for an angle grinder to reach. I used a combination of electric file and a jigsaw to cut the pieces out.

New charcoal canister and gas cap gasket. Filled up tank for first time yesterday. Lots of pressure released when I removed gas cap. Then it leaked like a sieve after filling up. Hopefully it was just the old canister and not the actual leak at the top of the tank.
